BenQ acquires e-gaming brand ZOWIE

Taipei-based technology major BenQ on Wednesday announced the acquisition of leading e-gaming accessories and equipment brand ZOWIE for an undisclosed sum.

With this acquisition, all future BenQ gaming-related merchandise will be introduced under the ZOWIE name.

"The acquisition of ZOWIE would strengthen BenQ's position in the industry as a company that fully supports the entertainment and gaming ecosystem," BenQ said in a statement.

Combining the core competences of BenQ and ZOWIE, new ZOWIE branded eSports devices will focus on personalisation to provide innovations that will enhance player performance in India.
