OnePlus Expands Free Pickup And Drop Service To Over 19,000 Pincodes In India

For anyone who’s ever had to trek to a service center with a half-dead phone in hand, OnePlus has some news: you might not need to leave your home next time. The company has quietly rolled out a major expansion of its free pickup and drop service, now covering over 19,000 pincodes across India.

This means whether you’re in Mumbai or a small town in Assam, OnePlus will come to you, collect your device, fix it, and bring it back—no shipping fees, no store lines, no waiting rooms.

The move is part of a broader push under something called Project Starlight, a multi-year investment aimed at making OnePlus’s after-sales support actually feel like support.

More support, less hassle

The pickup-and-drop service isn’t just for show. It’s backed by a growing network of service centers—reportedly up 50% over the past year—and supported through multiple touchpoints. You can request a pickup via live chat, WhatsApp, email, or the good old-fashioned call center. OnePlus says the goal is simple: make it easier for people to get help without jumping through hoops.

If you've been burned by sluggish repair timelines or “please visit our center” replies in the past, this rollout feels like a shift in tone—especially for users in tier 2 and 3 cities, who often get left out of the premium service loop.

A free service camp is running, too

From June 20 to June 30, OnePlus is also running a nationwide service camp. Users can walk into any service center (or schedule a pickup) for a free device health check and software update. If your phone is out of warranty, there are no service charges for select repairs.

It’s not a huge perk, but it’s a smart way to nudge users into the updated system and test how smooth it really is.
