Asus is one of those companies striving hard to make a name for itself in the Indian handset market. While the market stands as an 'open market' , the number of companies already present in the mix is a serious threat for whoever wishes to enter next.

However, keeping the hopes up, Asus recently announced its latest smartphone, in competition to the Chinese giant Xiaomi Redmi 1S. Dubbed as Asus Pegasus X002, this mid-range device is now available only in China for 799 Yuan (Approx Rs 8,125)

Asus Pegasus X002 Specifications

Asus Pegasus X002, sports a 5-inch capacitive multi touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels for sharp and crystal clarity. This device is clocked by 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732 64-bit processor with Mali-T760 GPU alongside of 2GB RAM.

Additionally, X002 supports 16GB of internal memory, which is expandable upto 32GB via microSD card. This device feature a 8MP rear camera with LED flash with f/2.0 aperture and 5MP front facing snapper with f/2.2 aperture, 88-degree wide-angle lens which is specifically made for selfies and video conferencing.

Further on, Pegasus carries a dimensions of 9.9mm thickness and weighs around 140grams, meanwhile it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Zen UI on top of it.

Moreover, on the connectivity option, this smartphone supports 4G TD-LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and it is powered with 2500mAh battery.

Coming in Charcoal Black and Pearl white colors along with Red and Gold variantsback covers, it is currently available in China. As there is no official announcement about the global roll-out, we are expecting more information from the Asus authorities in the upcoming days.
