BlackBerry Z30 Phablet Launch With 5 Inch Display And BB 10.2 OS: 6 Unique Features

After a several leaks and rumors surrounding the much awaited BlackBerry first phablet Z30, the Canadian manufacturer finally unveiled the Z10 successor today in Germany. However, the device did not come out to be a surprise for most BlackBerry fans who have been following the leaks taking place for quite sometime now. To those who don't know, BlackBerry Z30is the company's first flagship to come with a 5 inch display and BlackBerry 10.2 version of OS.

BlackBerry Z30 is official now and to talk about the specs (which again most of us already know), the new handset comes with a 5 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display offering 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and 294 ppi pixel density.

The Z30 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4Pro chipset and 1.7GHz processor coupled with Adreno 320 quad-core graphics. Moreover, it is also supported by 2 GB RAM.

Moving on to camera, the handset features 8 MP rear camera with auto focus, 5x digital zoom, 1080 video capturing capability and LED Flash along with a 2MP front facing shooter with 3x digital zoom and 720p digital recording facility.

The Z30 houses an internal storage capacity of 16GB which can be enhanced up to 64GB using a microSD card. When it comes to connectivity options, it features, 4G LTE or HSPA+, global roaming support, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n Dual Band, Bluetooth 4, NFC, GPS and USB.

The first 5 inch BlackBerry handset draws its power from 2,880mAh battery which is said to offer up to 25 hours of mixed usage.

Sadly, the company have not disclosed the price of the handset but said that it will be announced by partners at the time of their respective launches. And talking about the availability, the release says that it would roll out from select carriers and retailers around the world beginning next week in the UK and Middle East and all other regions going into the holiday season.

Moreover, the Canadian manufacturer also mentioned about a variety of accessories like cases and chargers as well. On top of that BlackBerry also said that BB 10 OS version 10.2 can be expected to be available for the BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry Q10 and BlackBerry Q5 smartphones beginning mid-October but will be subject to carrier approvals.
