In the past few days, the Canvas 4 maker has come up with some really cool Android phones priced under Rs. 7,000. The famed Bolt series that includes Bolt A35, Bolt A26, Bolt A27, Bolt A62, is primarily stands for budget Android smartphones.

The Micromax Bolt A40 packs a 4.5-inch TFT display having resolution of 480x854 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz Spreadtrum SC6820 processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot). Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread comes out of the box. There's a 2-megapixel rear facing camera with an LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera.
This dual SIM supported phone does not support 3G connectivity. The makers have added a 1,500mAh Li Ion battery. The battery life lasts up to 175 hours. Micromax claims up to 4.5 hours of talk time. Other connectivity options include: Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, GPRS, and Bluetooth 2.0, among others.
