Did you get a new iPhone? Now all you need to do is to setup the device, which at times can be overwhelming for you. For setting up the device, you need to start somewhere, and that is none other than the basics.

Create an Apple ID
This is the first and essential step to join the fellow mates in the Apple ecosystem. With Apple ID, you can download or buy apps from App Store, purchase music, movies at iTunes, subscribe Apple music and much more.
Install iTunes
Once you possess Apple device, you need to install the iTunes on your computer, as it is the important medium that connects your phone and computer. It stores and plays your video or music reads your data, give you options to add or remove music, video, apps, and manages your phone.
Activate your phone
After these two initial steps, you need to activate your phone to start using it right? So you have to activate the basic setup process by choosing fundamental settings for using features like FaceTime, Find My iPhone, iMessage, and more. However, you can change those settings later, if you want.
Sync the device
Once you done with Apple ID and iTunes, start loading it with content by plugging your iPhone into your computer. When you plug the cable in, your phone will begin to sync.

Set up Find my iPhone
By god forbid, if you lost the device, you can track it using this feature. Find My iPhone is a feature of iCloud that lets you use the iPhone's built-in GPS to track its location on a map.

Restore from Backup

Install new apps
Now you can install your own apps on the iPhone by going to App store. You can get all kinds of new apps, apps in editor's pick or browsing by category.
Erase the Data in Old iPhone
After the setup process in your new iPhone, you can delete the old ones going to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase all content.
