As Xiaomi has integrated apps that help in clearing and managing the storage space, it is possible for users to manually do some other things in order to clean the interface. The MIUI community has revealed some methods that will clean up space on Xiaomi devices and here these are listed for you.

Clearing the Cache

This trick is not limited to Xiaomi devices, this exercise is applicable to all smartphones, a lot of space is occupied by cache and manual cleaning is often the go-to answer, a large portion of memory can be saved by clearing the cache without the loss of any data.

Go to settings, access Cached Data under Storage. Tapping on cached data will prompt a pop-up box asking for a response. Confirm your choice and free up your cached data. Whenever storage fills up your phone, you can manually delete the cache.

Unrequired data or files can be deleted by utilizing the dedicated app by Xiaomi. This app lets you get rid of any unnecessary data without any loss of data, the Cleaner app is integrated with the Security app.

Once you access Cleaner from Security, a ‘clean up' button can be observed here at the bottom of the screen. The button provides information about unnecessary files that are present in the phone. These files can be cleared up and storage space can be cleared up with a single tap on this button.
