App Shortcuts!

One of the best features introduced with Pixel phones. This feature functions same as the 3D Touch in Apple phones but is very different from the Apple's innovation. Apple built this technology based on the pressure sensitivity, however, Google is just embedding this feature into the OS.

The user needs to long press an application in the home screen, which brings a pop up with several options. For example, long pressing the Google Play Music app shows you Recent Activity, My Library, and I'm Feeling lucky options. At this point of time, it is still unknown whether these options are customizable or not.

Restart Option Makes into Power Menu! Finally.

The most asked feature by many Android lovers over the time. Google is finally hearing the voice of their audience. The Android Nougat 7.1 Developer Preview comes with a new restart option in the power menu, which is a great deal for many.

New Gesture Moves

The new developer preview brings the all new gesture features from the Google Pixel phones. These settings can be found under the Settings app. And there are three moves such as the 'Jump to Camera', 'Flip to Camera', and 'Lift to check phone'. All these gestures will work when your device is locked.

New Support Tab in Settings App

Google is betting hard on the Pixel phone's support as they promised 24/7 support at the launch event. Now, they are bringing the same feature to the Nexus phones as well, which is a great addition, but we haven't tested how it works.

Revamped Quick Toggles

In the Android Nougat 7.0 update, Google completely refreshed the notifications panel and quick settings and now, the company is slightly modifying the quick toggles department. There are six quick toggles in the notifications shade from the previous five toggles.
