5 Reasons Why Motorola Edge 50 Pro Stands Out From the Crowd
Motorola recently dropped the Edge 50 Pro in the Indian market. Despite being a mid-range phone, its premium-grade features make it a unique offering in the segment.
Getting all in one can be difficult, but the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is packed with everything that one mid-range phone should offer. Here we've listed five reasons why should you choose the Edge 50 Pro over other mid-range in the segment.

Display
Starting with the display, the Edge 50 Pro is claimed to offer a full spectrum of real-world colours experience with its 3D curved display validated by Pantone. The phone features a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2,000 nits of peak local brightness level, and HDR10+ support.
The SGS Eye Protection also protects your eyes from blue light emission. Overall, the impressive screen delivers a stellar gaming and content consumption experience.
The phone is offered in Luxe Lavender, Black Beauty, and Moonlight Pearl color options. The silicone vegan leather finish gives a premium feel, while the Moon Light Pearl colour is claimed to be handcrafted in Italy. Besides, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro also comes with an IP68 rating, which is usually seen in flagship handsets.
Camera
If you love to capture, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has everything one can expect from a mid-range smartphone. The phone is claimed to be the world's first phone to feature an AI-powered Pro-grade camera. It has a triple-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.4 aperture and OIS support.
The device also includes a 13MP ultrawide Macro Vision camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with an f/2.0 aperture and OIS support. Upfront, the Edge 50 Pro gets a 50MP selfie camera with an f/1.9 aperture.
For AI, the camera is capable of adjusting brightness, contrast, and color balance while taking pictures. Even the selfie camera supports Auto Focus and the telephoto camera comes with 3x optical zoom support, allowing you to capture detailed images.
Software
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro runs Android 14-based Hello UI on top. Motorola is also promising to offer three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates with the new phone. One can get an almost Stock Android experience except for a few apps from Motorola.
Battery
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro packs a 4,500 mAh battery with support for up to 125W wired and 50W wireless Turbo charging. It also supports 10W wireless power sharing, but Motorola only bundles a 68W adapter for the 8GB model in the box. The 12GB variant gets a 125W charger in the box.
Performance
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Though the processor is capable of handling games and day-to-day tasks, one can find the same processor at even affordable price tag. For instance, the recently launched Nord CE4 also runs the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
However, getting impressive display features and AI-powered cameras in this range is difficult. For an asking price of Rs 31,999, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro can be a good pick. Notably, you can buy the device with a starting price of Rs 27,999 during the first sale slated for April 9.
