If you're shopping for a value-packed 5G phone under ₹15,000, it’s a busy field right now. Xiaomi just dropped the Redmi Note 14 SE 5G, and it’s going head-to-head with the Tecno Pova 7 and Vivo T4x. All three run on Android 15, offer high refresh rate displays, and come with big batteries. But the way they balance specs, design, and extras is very different.

Here’s a side-by-side look at how these three stack up—and which one might make more sense for you.

Display: AMOLED vs IPS, Flat vs Fluid

The Redmi Note 14 SE is the only one of the three that offers a Super AMOLED display. It’s a 6.67-inch FHD+ panel with a peak brightness of 2,100 nits and up to 120Hz refresh rate. If deep contrast and punchy colors matter to you, this one’s a win.

The Vivo T4x has a slightly larger 6.72-inch IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh but falls short in brightness, peaking at 1050 nits. It's usable outdoors but not as vibrant as AMOLED.

Tecno Pova 7 brings a 6.78-inch IPS LCD, but bumps the refresh rate up to 144Hz. That might appeal to gamers looking for smoother motion, but color-wise, it’s not touching AMOLED territory.

Verdict: Redmi wins on display quality, Tecno leads on refresh rate.

Performance and Storage

All three phones use MediaTek Dimensity chipsets, but with different variations.

  • Redmi Note 14 SE runs on the Dimensity 7025 Ultra, built on a 6nm process. It’s paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage (expandable via microSD).
  • Tecno Pova 7 and Vivo T4x both use the Dimensity 7300 (4nm), but Tecno gives you 8GB RAM by default, and up to 256GB storage. Vivo offers multiple RAM/storage variants (6/128GB, 8/128GB, 8/256GB), and uses faster UFS 3.1 storage—a nice touch.

So if you want raw power and faster app loading, Vivo’s UFS 3.1 and Tecno’s 8GB RAM both edge ahead of Redmi’s more modest configuration.

Verdict: Vivo and Tecno have the performance advantage.

Cameras: Hardware vs Software

Redmi’s camera setup is the most complete on paper:

  • 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor (with f/1.5 aperture and OIS)
  • 8MP ultra-wide
  • 2MP macro
  • 20MP front camera

Vivo keeps it simple:

  • 50MP main + 2MP depth
  • 8MP front shooter

Tecno has just one rear cam:

  • 50MP main sensor
  • 13MP front camera

Only Vivo and Tecno shoot 4K video, though, while Redmi tops out at 1080p (at least for now). But Redmi’s ultra-wide lens gives it an edge for versatility in shots.

Verdict: Redmi offers more camera flexibility; Tecno and Vivo win for video resolution.

Battery and Charging

This is where things get interesting.

  • Vivo T4x packs a 6,500mAh battery, the largest of the bunch, with 44W wired charging and reverse wired charging.
  • Tecno Pova 7 isn’t far behind with 6,000mAh, but adds 30W wireless and 10W reverse charging, plus it charges to 50% in just 29 minutes.
  • Redmi Note 14 SE has a smaller 5,110mAh battery with 45W wired charging.

For longevity and flexibility, Vivo clearly leads. But Tecno wins for charging versatility, thanks to that wireless support.

Verdict: Vivo leads in battery size, Tecno wins on charging features.

Design and Extras

  • Redmi uses a glass front with Gorilla Glass 5, weighs 190g, and comes in three colors, including a standout “Crimson Art” finish.
  • Tecno has a unique back LED status light and ships with stereo speakers and a headphone jack.
  • Vivo T4x is the only one without a headphone jack, but it’s also MIL-STD-810H rated, suggesting better resistance to wear and tear.

All three support IP64 splash resistance, stereo speakers, and run Android 15 out of the box.

Verdict: If design flair matters, Redmi takes the lead. For ruggedness, Vivo holds the edge.

Price and Availability

  • Redmi Note 14 SE (6GB/128GB): ₹14,999 — Available from August 7
  • Tecno Pova 7: Starts at ₹14,999 for 8GB/128GB — More variants available
  • Vivo T4x: Starts at ₹13,999 for 6GB/128GB — More variants available

Final Thoughts

All three phones are solid for what they offer, but the decision depends on what matters most to you.

  • Pick Redmi Note 14 SE if you want a vibrant AMOLED display, solid cameras, and a stylish finish.
  • Pick Tecno Pova 7 if you want the highest refresh rate, strong RAM/storage combo, and wireless charging.
  • Pick Vivo T4x if battery life, faster storage, and rugged design top your list.
