And the rumor mills have been churning with words from many analysts who believe that Apple could add many more features than before, at the same time sacrifice a few.

Here are 6 features that are expected in the iPhone 7

Edge-to-edge screen

The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus have so far been hardware increments to their previous generations. The screen sizes may not go beyond the design aesthetics already set. But if stories are to be believed, the iPhone 7 is said to introduce edge-to-edge display just like the Sharp Aquos Crystal. This could lead to higher resolutions in the future models.

Home No More

With the edge-to-edge display, Apple aims to get rid of the physical home button that has been its only distinguishing mark design since its first generation. Users may have to interaction with the on-screen buttons like the ones in Android and Windows Phone.

Future models of Apple's Earpods may just have the same ports, and third-party manufacturers may launch converters for older generation earphones to be compatible with them. Users could also opt for wireless headphones to enjoy their music and also attend to calls.

Bigger, better battery
