John Sculley's Obi Worldphone, today launched its latest model, dubbed as the MV1 smartphone in the market. Like before, it is designed by San Francisco-based product studio Ammunition. As per the company, the MV1 device is targeted at "young professional" across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe.
The MV1 smartphone is available in two variants - 1GB/2GB RAM, featuring 16GB of inbuilt memory. However, the Obi MV1 smartphone will be available in Asia and Africa while it will launch in March for Latin America and Europe.
In addition, to improved security and privacy options, the OS provides enhanced features like Truecaller, which allows users to block incoming spam calls, and LiveDisplay, which intelligently adjusts the user's screen based on ambient light.
Moving on to the specifications, the MV1 sports a 5-inch in-cell touch display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and oleophobic coating. It is powered by a Quad-core Snapdragon 212 processor with Adreno 306 GPU.
On the storage, this device is equipped with 16GB of internal memory, with the expandable option up to 64GB via microSD card. The imaging factor of MV1 is taken care of 8MP camera on the back and 2MP camera on the front. To enhance the sound clarity of the device, it comes with DTS Sound and dual microphone for noise cancellation.
Further, the connectivity option includes 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (dual-band), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. The above hardware is powered by a 2500mAh battery. The Obi MV1 smartphone comes in Red, White and Black variant.
