Alleged Razer smartphone photo emerges online before November 1 launch
Razer is all set to launch its first smartphone on November 1.
Since the past few days, an upcoming smartphone from Razer is making the rounds on the internet. Speculated to be unveiled on November 1, this smartphone was spotted on the GFXBench database just a few days back.
Now, an alleged photo of the Razer smartphone has been spotted in the wild by those at TechByte via GSMArena. The smartphone, the image seems to have come from an unnamed insider who works with Razer. Probably, the person could have managed to grab hold of the device while trying to test its gaming capabilities.
This is the first smartphone from the US-based gaming gear company that is not pretty known for its mobile hardware. Notably, the company had announced the Razer Edge Pro gaming tablet that was successful.
While we expect the Razer smartphone to have some gaming-centric angle to it, the specifications those were tipped show that it might arrive with a 5.7-inch display with QHD resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. Under its hood, the smartphone is said to feature a Snapdragon 835 SoC and 64GB storage. The imaging aspects might include a 12MP main camera and an 8MP front-facing sensor. The Razer smartphone will run on Android OS as the company had already signed its interest in the Google's OS with a gaming niche by acquiring the gaming console called Ouya based on Android back in 2015.
As of now, that's pretty much we know about the Razer smartphone. Given that the launch date is not too far away, we can get to know more details regarding the same in the coming days. One thing that we aren't sure about is how far people will be interested in buying a gaming smartphone. Well, this question remains to be answered only after the launch of the device on November 1 and the response of the buyers to the same.
