A cheaper variant of Apple's iPhone has been making round for sometime now. While a few tipsters had speculated that the cheaper and the smaller variant of the iPhone with a 'C' moniker would be launched. But it is still unclear if Apple wants to call the 4 inch iPhone, the iPhone 6C or the iPhone 7C.

Following the launch of the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, rumors of new 4 inch iPhone surfaced online, reportedly targeting the launch in the first half of 2016.

According to the latest report by MyDrivers, the iPhone 5e will be powered by an A8 chipset paired with 1GB of RAM. This report contradicts the previous report, which hinted that the 4 inch device will be called as the iPhone 6c and come with A9 processor.
