Best Smartphones Under 10,000 INR In India 2023: Affordable Budget Devices From Redmi, Infinix, Realme
The Indian mobile phone market has been extremely competitive this year. Smartphone manufacturers have been aggressively bringing features once reserved for the midrange and premium category smartphones to the budget and affordable segment.
The budget or affordable smartphone segment is quite vibrant and devices priced above ₹8000 but below ₹10,000 usually fall in this category. They feature large 720p or 1080p LCD screens and big batteries, but are powered by a budget chipset, and are usually restricted to 4GB or 6GB RAM and 4G networks. Let's look at the top smartphones available in August 2023 to buy in this price-sensitive segment.

Xiaomi Redmi 9 |9 Prime | 9i | 9 Active
Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi 12 smartphone with attractive features and decent hardware. However, it is certainly not a budget smartphone. From the Redmi series, the Redmi 9 Prime or the Redmi 9i are great choices.
While the Redmi 9i is usually available below ₹10,000, it is the Redmi 9 or Redmi 9 Prime that budget smartphone buyers should look out for during sales or shopping festivals. This series features decent MediaTek Helio chipsets, up to 4GB RAM, a 5000mAh battery, dual or triple rear camera, and large HD+ screens.
Realme C33 | C55
The recently launched Realme C33 packs the Unisoc Tiger T612, 4GB RAM, and up to 128GB internal storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery, with support for 10W charging.
The Realme C series smartphone runs Android 12-based Realme UI S Edition. The budget offering from Realme has a 50MP primary rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
Another Realme budget smartphone to consider is the Realme C55. It usually sells for a little higher than ₹10,000. However, buyers can apply exchange discounts and bank offers to bring the final selling price lower.
The Realme C55 is similar to the Realme C33. However, it can be a good choice because buyers can get up to 6GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, a Full HD+ 1080 display, and a Mediatek Helio G88 "gaming" chipset. Additionally, it has an 8MP selfie camera, and a 64MP rear camera, which is paired with a 2MP sensor.
Inifinix Hot 30i
Infinix has been actively trying to climb up the ladder in the smartphone market. However, it is quite active in the budget and affordable Android smartphone segment.
Priced just below ₹10,000, the Inifinix Hot 30i stands out in the budget segment with its impressive specifications and features. The budget smartphone from Infinix features a large 6.6-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 8GB RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage.
The Inifinix Hot 30i is powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, which could be this handset's limiting factor. However, the 5000mAh battery that charges via a USB-C port makes it a good budget smartphone.
Realme Narzo N55
The Realme Narzo series usually includes mid-range Android smartphones. However, the Realme Narzo N55 is one of the rare exceptions.
The Realme Narzo N55 features a 6.72-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, which is one of the best displays in the budget Android smartphone segment. The Realme Narzo series smartphone is powered by Mediatek Helio G88 chipset, which is paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.
Realme hasn't held the device back in the imaging department too. The Realme Narzo N55 features a dual rear camera setup, headlined by a 64MP primary camera. There's a decent 8MP selfie camera.
With a large 5000mAh battery, supported by 33W wired fast charging and Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0, budget buyers would be hard-pressed to find a better Android smartphone in this segment.
