Gionee Elife S6, a mid range smartphone to arrive on Nov 16

    The Gionee Elife S6 has been recently spotted at TENAA. The company wants only to increase the launch of Android phones this year in terms of numbers and it will do so by the end of the year. The Elife S6 is the latest phone in the Gionee's set of new phones that are yet to be launched.

    As reported by PhoneRadar, Gionee has already teased the upcoming release of Elife S6 and officially confirmed that much of the phone and its specifications would be known on November 16. We expect the handset to be initially introduced in China, but Elife S6 is soon likely to debut in other South Asian countries as well.

    The company is yet to divulge details regarding the phone or its specifications. Rumours afloat that Elife S6 was spotted at TENAA, the Chinese authority responsible for certification of communication equipment. The Gionee Elife S7 is likely to be the GN9007 listed by TENAA.

    The Gionee Elife S6 is a really thin smartphone with average specs. The Elife S6 is a mid-range smartphone. The Elife S6 will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo 3.1 UI on top.The smartphone is equipped with a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable to 64GB via microSD card slot.

    Gionee Elife S6 is expected to sport a 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. It will feature a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, a LED flash and video recording, secondary 8 MP selfie camera and video calls. Gionee's teaser image suggests that the Elife S6 will rather be a thin device, and going by the TENAA listing it is most likely to be 6mm thick and weigh 124g in all.
