Google Pixel 11 Pro vs Pixel 10 Pro: Why the Newer Pixel is the Better Buy Despite its Higher Price
Google's latest compact flagship brings several hardware upgrades over its predecessor, including a thinner chassis, newer Tensor G6 processor, larger camera sensors, faster charging and improved display protection.
However, the new model also makes a few specification compromises, most notably a lower base RAM configuration and a slightly smaller battery. Here's a closer look at how the two generations compare on paper.

Design
The new compact flagship measures 7.6mm in thickness and weighs 204 grams, making it slimmer and lighter than the predecessor, which measures 8.5mm thick. Google has also reduced the thickness of the camera housing by around 40 percent, helping the phone sit flatter on a surface.
The new model introduces the HiLight system, which adds a colour-emitting element around the rear camera module for visual notifications and Gemini-related interactions. The predecessor retains a conventional camera setup without the illuminated element.
Display
Both smartphones feature a 6.3-inch Super Actua display with a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. The newer model, however, adds a premium anti-glare coating, improving visibility in bright outdoor conditions.
Both displays use Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and offer high contrast, deep blacks and wide colour reproduction. The newer generation also pushes peak brightness higher, giving it an advantage for outdoor viewing.
Processor and Memory
The biggest hardware change comes from the move to the Google Tensor G6 processor from the previous-generation Tensor G5. The newer chip is designed to improve processing efficiency, on-device AI workloads and thermal performance.
Google has also changed the memory configurations. The new base model comes with 12GB RAM, compared with 16GB RAM on the predecessor. However, higher storage variants of the new model are available with 16GB RAM.
Storage has moved in the opposite direction, with the new phone starting at 256GB, double the predecessor's 128GB base storage. Security is also upgraded with the Titan M3 security coprocessor, which adds quantum-resistant cryptographic protection.
Cameras
Both generations feature a 50MP primary camera, 48MP ultra-wide camera and 48MP telephoto camera. Despite identical megapixel counts, the newer model uses larger camera sensors to capture more light.
The Tensor G6 also improves image processing, with Google claiming Night Sight processing is up to 4.5 times faster. The newer model additionally introduces AI-powered Magic Capture and Camera Looks, which are not available on the predecessor.
Battery and Charging
The new flagship packs a 4,850mAh battery, slightly smaller than the predecessor's 4,870mAh cell. However, charging speeds receive a substantial upgrade.
The newer model supports 45W wired charging and 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging, compared with the predecessor's slower charging capabilities, including 15W wireless charging.
Software and Updates
Both smartphones receive Google's seven-year software update commitment. The predecessor launched with Android 16 but can be upgraded to Android 17, while the newer model ships with Android 17 out of the box.
Both devices also support Google's Gemini features, keeping the software experience broadly similar despite the hardware differences.
Google Pixel 11 Pro vs Pixel 10 Pro: Conclusion
At their current prices, the Pixel 11 Pro is the better option, despite the Rs. 10,000 higher starting price. For that premium, buyers get the newer Tensor G6 processor, a brighter 3,600-nit display, faster 45W wired and 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging, a slimmer and lighter design, larger camera sensors, upgraded Titan M3 security and newer AI-powered camera features.
The Pixel 10 Pro still has an advantage with 16GB RAM on the base model, compared with 12GB on the Pixel 11 Pro, along with a marginally larger battery. However, these differences are unlikely to outweigh the newer hardware and feature set offered by the Pixel 11 Pro.
If you are choosing between the two at their current retail prices, the Pixel 11 Pro is the model to buy. The Pixel 10 Pro remains a capable flagship, but the Pixel 11 Pro delivers enough meaningful upgrades to justify its higher asking price.
