Till now Sony's smartphone division has reported a downturn in sales, which is indeed a worrying sign for a company! In a desperate attempt to give a hit in the market, Japan-based handset maker Sony has launched yet another smartphone under 'X' series of smartphone.

Dubbed as Xperia XZ, this new flagship is a successor to the Xperia X, that got launched two months ago.

This smartphone focuses on design, performance, camera, and battery life. Coming in Mineral Black, Forest Blue, and Platinum this smartphone will go on sale starting from early October.

This smartphone is made up of a material called ALKALEIDO, a word for the rounded aluminum piece that is smudge resistant! This smartphone measures 146 x 72 x 8.1 mm and weighs around 161grams.

The Xperia XZ is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, with X12 LTE supports that give an efficient performance in connectivity, graphics, photography, power, and battery. Further, the Sony's unique Smart Cleaner technology automatically deactivates any apps not being used and clears the cache. The gaming performance is taken care of Adreno 530 GPU under the hood.

As usual, one of the highlighted features of the Xperia XZ is the 23MP rear camera. According to the spec sheet, the XZ comes with 23MP rear and 13MP front selfies. The Xperia XZ comes with triple image sensing technology that helps in capturing the photos and videos with accurate focus.

Also, the camera in Xperia XZ uses color and phase detection, along with laser assistance to calculate the distance correctly and track intelligently moving objects.

The Xperia XZ is equipped with a 13MP front camera with 1/3.06" low light sensor and 22mm wide angle lens. It supports a 4K video and 2x lossless zoom as well.
