The iQOO Neo 10R recently made its debut in India's sub-30K segment. Unlike a vast majority of phones in the segment, the iQOO Neo 10R prioritizes performance, aiming to deliver the best smartphone gaming experience under Rs 30,000 in India.

Design

The Realme GT 6T features a curved design, which looks more stylish than its counterparts, but flat displays are better suited for gaming. All three phones feature glass protection on the front and plastic rear panels, although the X7 Pro boasts a vegan leather back panel option. The frames of the three devices are made of plastic. While the Realme GT 6T and iQOO Neo 10R feature basic resistance to dust and water, the POCO X7 Pro takes things up a notch with comprehensive protection.

Display

All three phones feature OLED displays, although the iQOO Neo 10R's 144Hz panel is the smoothest of the three. On the flipside, the Poco X7 Pro and Realme GT 6T feature brighter and more vibrant displays. The Poco X7 Pro's display also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, making it excellent for both gaming and content creation.

Performance

We haven't tested the three phones yet, although the POCO X7 Pro and iQOO Neo 10R are able to surpass an AnTuTu score of 1.7 million (As advertised on the website), while the Realme GT 6T is only able to cross 1.5 million. However, the Realme GT 6T features a much larger VC cooling system, enabling better sustained performance.

All three smartphones come with their own set of gaming features:

  • The iQOO Neo 10R features an Ultra Gaming Mode to ensure uninterrupted gameplay. The phone comes with an in-built FPS meter, an instant 2000Hz touch sampling rate, a 4D vibration motor, AI game voice changer, and dual-stereo speakers.
  • The POCO X7 Pro 5G features WildBoost Optimization 3.0, which enables stable picture quality and frame rates, enhanced performance, stable brightness, and lowers power consumption. Super Resolution Rendering enables excellent visuals while gaming, while the phone also comes with improved connectivity and enhanced gaming audio features.
  • Finally, the Realme GT 6T's GT Mode 5.0 features AI Frame Stabilization, Atomic-level Resource Scheduling, and GPU Heterogeneous Rendering. It also features a 2500Hz touch sampling rate and Dedicated Game Memory, which ensures full-powered GPU performance when gaming without throttling.

The iQOO Neo 10R comes with the fastest UFS 4.1 storage as well as LPDDR5x RAM. While the Poco X7 Pro and Realme GT 6T use UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5x RAM. It is worth noting that the 128GB model of the Realme GT 6T and iQOO Neo 10R use slower UFS 3.1 storage. The iQOO Neo 10R and POCO X7 Pro have a clear edge in terms of raw performance, although all three phones will handle most tasks you throw at it.

Battery

Despite a massive 5,500 mAh battery, the Realme GT 6T falls in last place in terms of battery capacity. The iQOO Neo 10R and POCO X7 Pro pack massive 6,400 mAh and 6,000 mAh silicon carbon batteries, respectively. Additionally, the LTPO display on the Realme GT 6T also consumes less energy than traiditonal OLEDs. On the flip side, the Realme GT 6T features the fastest charging support of the three phones, although charging speed shouldn't be a problem on any of the three devices.

Software

On the software side, iQOO, POCO, and Realme all offer three Android OS updates, although since the GT 6T launched last year with Android 14, it will only receive OS updates till Android 17 as opposed to Android 18 on its competitors. In terms of which Android skin in the best, we'd have to gravitate towards HyperOS 2.0 on the POCO X7 Pro 5G, based on past experience. Although all three come with their own set of customizations, including several AI features.

Cameras

All three smartphones feature a dual-camera setup, which include a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. POCO and iQOO opt for the Sony IMX882 primary sensor, while the Realme GT 6T uses a Sony LYT-600 main camera sensor. All three sensors are similarly sized with PDAF and OIS support, although the POCO X7 Pro has a brighter aperture.

The Sony ultrawide sensor is the same across all three phones. Both the Realme GT 6T and iQOO Neo 10R feature 32MP selfie cameras giving them an edge over the POCO X7 Pro's 20MP shooter. Finally, the iQOO Neo 10R and Realme GT 6T support 4K video recording on the front and back cameras, while the POCO X7 Pro can only recording 4K video on the rear camera.

If gaming is your top priority, the iQOO Neo 10R stands out as the best choice. It delivers the highest refresh rate (144Hz), the fastest storage (UFS 4.1), and gaming-focused features like an ultra-high touch sampling rate (2000Hz), 4D vibration, and AI game voice changer.

While the POCO X7 Pro comes close with its stable frame rates and excellent display for content consumption, and the Realme GT 6T offers great sustained performance thanks to its superior cooling system, the iQOO Neo 10R is simply the most well-rounded gaming performer, although its competitors aren't too far behind. In terms of the best price-to-performance, the POCO X7 Pro has the competition beat.
