LeEco Launches Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le 2 Max Smartphones: All You Need to Know

The latest Chinese smartphone entrant in the Indian market, LeEco (formerly called as LeTV) has gained more popularity among the masses with its flagship killer Le 1s. Today, as promised, the LeEco has announced three new smartphones at an event in China.

Dubbed as Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max, these smartphones will be available for pre-order in China starting from today. Further, the company has upgraded these three mobile phones with new Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) audio standard for lossless audio through USB Type-C and lacks the 3.5mm audio jack.

All these smartphones are shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped with EUI 5.8 out of the box. Other common features includes fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac/a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz MIMO),Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type C.

Falling in line with the recent rumours, the Le 2 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Le 2 is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor with Mali-T880 MP4 as GPU.

This processor is designed with three processor clusters, each designed to more efficiently handle different types of workloads. If the smartphone is doing only simple tasks - such as sending text messages or running the calculator - on one cluster, the other clusters can power down, and therefore drive smoother performance and extended battery life.

Further, the LeEco Le 2 houses a 3GB LPDDR3 RAM along with 32GB inbuilt memory with no expandable option. On the optics, this device employs am 16MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash, 8MP front camera on board. The hardware of Le 2 is powered by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology.

MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor will use battery efficiently

Moving on, the LeEco Le 2 Pro comes equipped with 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display. On the hardware front, this device is powered by a MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor backed by Mali-T880 MP4 as GPU.

Upgraded camera

The Le 2 Pro also comes with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM, 32GB ROM with no expansion similar to Le 2. Being a bigger variant, the company has upgraded the camera to 21MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and Sony IMX230 sensors. On the front, it has 8MP camera for selfies and video conferencing. The above hardware is juiced with 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology.

The 5.7-inch Le Max 2 is the flagship among the list with Quad HD display with 95% NTSC color gamut. This device comes with the latest Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 clocked at 2.15GHz along with Adreno 530 GPU.

In terms of storage, this device comes with two variant - 4GB DDR4 RAM with 32GB internal storage/ 6GB DDR4 RAM with 64GB internal memory. This is the second smartphone to be released with 6GB RAM, followed by Vivo Xplay5 Elite that got launched last month.
