LeEco is one of the Chinese manufacturers that have created a stir in the Indian market. The company announced the Le 2 and Le Max 2 in the market earlier this month and these phones went on the first flash sale today via Flipkart and lemall.com.
Reportedly, LeEco garnered Rs 78.6 crore by achieving sales orders of over 61,000 units of Le 2 and Le Max2, in its flash sale campaign on both LeMall.com India and Flipkart.
The total registration reached over 6 lakh within 8 days. Of the duo, the Le 2 is a mid-ranger priced at Rs 11,999.
In the meantime, last week, Oppo, another Chinese manufacturer launched the Oppo A37 smartphone in India for a price of Rs 11,990. This smartphone will be made available from July 1 via both offline and online stores.
While both the smartphones are priced almost similar, they definitely differ in terms of specifications and features. You might be confused on which one you should buy - the Le 2 today via flash sale or wait for the Oppo smartphone till Friday. Oppo A37 has a unibody design
The Oppo A37 features a metallic unibody design and it is quite thin measuring 7.6 mm in thickness. Also, the device is a lightweight one with a weight of just 136 grams. In comparison, the LeEco Le 2 that is also made of metal has a relatively thinner profile measuring just 7.5 mm thick, but it weighs in at 155 grams making it considerably heavier.
Le 2 display is great
Le 2 flaunts a 5.5-inch display with FHD 1080p resolution resulting in a pixel density of 401 ppi. It uses an in-cell display technology that is better than the ones found on other smartphones with the same display specs. On the other hand, Oppo A37 being an entry-level phone features a 5-inch HD 720p IPS 2.5D curved glass display featuring the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top.

There's better hardware in Le 2
LeEco Le 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor along with 3 GB RAM. On the other hand, the Oppo A37 is energized by a Snapdragon 410 processor and 2 GB RAM. The processor in the Le 2 is better as it supports faster LTE speeds and it can be clocked higher as well.
While the Le 2 has 32 GB of storage capacity that cannot be expanded further, storage capacity in the Oppo phone is 16 GB and it can be expanded further up to 128 GB.
The Le 2 is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow topped with EUI 5.8, whereas the Oppo A37 is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop topped with Color OS 3.0.
Le 2 has a better camera for its price
Le 2 boasts a 16 MP powerful rear-facing snapper paired with dual-tone LED flash, phase detection autofocus, and f/2.0 aperture. Also on board is an 8 MP front snapper with f/2.2 aperture and 76.5-degree wide angle lens.
In comparison, the Oppo A37 boasts of an 8 MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture and a 5 MP front-facer with the same aperture.
Le 2 is highly secure
There is a fingerprint scanner on the Le 2 making the smartphone highly secure. The Oppo A37 lacks such a feature that will let users securely unlock the smartphone.
Le 2 has a capacious battery
A 3,000 mAh battery energizes the Le 2 giving it a long battery backup whereas the 2,630 mAh battery in the Oppo A37 is not as long lasting as the one in the Le 2.
4G LTE Support
Both are dual-SIM smartphones and they support 4G LTE connectivity as well. Also, it comes with the USB Type-C port and supports CDLA technology instead of 3.5 mm jack.
