Lenovo Vibe X3 set for November 16 launch: 7 Key specs and features


Lenovo has for long been in news for its next generation Vibe X smartphone model to be named as the Vibe X3. The company launched the Vibe X2 in November 2014, and was expected to unveil its successor at MWC 2015. However, Lenovo did not unveil the phone at the MWC and since then the phone is rumored to be under works. Recently, the phone was spotted on TENAA certifications, which gave us a look at its specifications.

Lenovo however seems to be finally reading its set up to take the wraps off the much awaited Vibe X3 smartphone. The company has posted a teaser image which suggests that the smartphone will be unveiled at a press event to be hosted on November 16.

As for the specifications of the Vibe X3 smartphone, rumors, leaked reports and speculations have already given out much detail about the phone. Here are 7 key things to know about the rumored smartphone:


As seen in the previously leaked images, the Lenovo Vibe X3 will get a refreshed design to look better and premium than the Vibe X2. The Vibe X3 is speculated to flaunt a metal frame whereas the Vibe X2 has a three layer design. It will feature two stereo speakers placed on top and bottom of the front panel.

Fingerprint sensor

Fingerprint scanner is one of the hot features for smartphone today, as most of the flagship-level smartphones now come with finger-recognition technology. Moreover, Google 6.0 Marshmallow also comes with support for fingerprint scanner technology. The Lenovo Vibe X3 is also likely to have a fingerprint sensor, paced just below the camera module on the rear panel.



The Vibe X3 smartphone is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch full HD display offering 1080p resolution.


The phone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 chipset with two Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. The CPU is expected to be coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage, which can be expanded by a microSD card.


Speaking of the camera specs, the Vibe X3 might boast a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, which might get additional features similar to the Vibe Shot smartphone that got launched recently in India. The new Vibe X smartphone is also likely to don an 8-megapixel selfie camera up front.


Connectivity options in the phone include of 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other features GPS and GPS.


The phone will most likely have Android 5.0 Lollipop version but we expect it to support the Marshmallow update.
