Micromax Canvas 5: Ten Best And Worst Features of Micromax's Flagship Smartphone
Micromax has launched its latest Canvas flagship smartphone - the Canvas 5 in the Indian market today at an event in New Delhi.
The Canvas 5 comes in Black color variant with metal frame and Tan color with golden frame at a price of Rs. 11,999. It will sell through all retail channels including online and offline stores. It comes with metal rim running around and a leather-like back cover, which is new try in the Micromax mobile line-up.

The smartphone sports a 5.2 inch IPS full lamination display with 1920x1080 pixels, which is translated into 423ppi and 450 nits brightness alongside of 2.5D arc glass, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The device is clocked at 1.3GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor along with 450MHz Mali-T720 MP2 as GPU besides 3GB RAM under the hood. On the storage, the Canvas 5 is equipped with 16GB of inbuilt memory, with an expansion option of up to 64GB via microSD card.

The smartphone is packed with a bit smaller sized battery of 2900mAh. Considering the smartphone as 4G compatible and a bigger display, the 2900mAh battery might not juice the device for a longer time. Further, the battery is not user replaceable.

Many flagship smartphones are now coming with fingerprint scanner. Considering that smartphones with fingerprint scanner and similar features, we wish the Micromax could have included fingerprint scanner on the Canvas 5.
