Micromax has launched its latest Canvas flagship smartphone - the Canvas 5 in the Indian market today at an event in New Delhi.

The Canvas 5 comes in Black color variant with metal frame and Tan color with golden frame at a price of Rs. 11,999. It will sell through all retail channels including online and offline stores. It comes with metal rim running around and a leather-like back cover, which is new try in the Micromax mobile line-up.

The smartphone sports a 5.2 inch IPS full lamination display with 1920x1080 pixels, which is translated into 423ppi and 450 nits brightness alongside of 2.5D arc glass, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The device is clocked at 1.3GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor along with 450MHz Mali-T720 MP2 as GPU besides 3GB RAM under the hood. On the storage, the Canvas 5 is equipped with 16GB of inbuilt memory, with an expansion option of up to 64GB via microSD card.
