Moto G4 Play is the New Moto E: 4 Things that Prove it!
While the launch of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus have created big news in the tech headlines, the maker has come up with yet another device - G4 Play.

Well, the Moto G4 Play is considered to be a replacement for the budget smartphone Moto E. Even its specs show that it is a Moto E kind of device.
So far, there is no detail about the Moto E smartphone for this year indicating that the G4 Play one could be a budget phone and it will be made available later this summer.

Moto G4 Play specs - a look
The display on the Moto G4 Play is a 5-inch HD 720p screen and not a Full HD 5.5-inch display. This smartphone comes with two storage options such as 8 GB and 16 GB. The RAM capacity of Moto G4 Play is 2 GB.

The smartphone features an 8 MP camera at its back and a 5 MP front facer. The device is splash-proof.

Moto G4 Play has quad-core SoC and not octa-core SoC
As the Moto G4 Play smartphone is a replacement for Moto E, it is not on par with the other two variants in terms of specs. It features a quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC and not an octa-core Snapdragon 617 SoC as the G4 and G4 Plus.

Moto G4 Play can't be customized
Moto Maker is a platform meant to customize Motorola smartphones. The Moto G4 Play is incompatible with this platform and so it cannot be customized. This is not the case with the Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones.

Though the Moto G4 Play cannot be customized, it will come get replaceable shells from
Lenovo.
