Motorola Edge 50 Ultra vs Xiaomi 14 CIVI vs Poco F6 5G: Design, Build
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra features a vegan leather or wooden back panel with Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front and an aluminum frame. The phone also boasts an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water. The Edge 50 Ultra weighs 197 grams and measures 8.6mm thick.
With the Xiaomi 14 CIVI, customers have the option to choose between vegan leather or a smooth AG glass back, while the aluminum frame is common across all three variants. It only offers splash resistance and uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2 over the screen. The Xiaomi 14 CIVI weighs up to 179.3 grams and measures up to 7.8mm thick depending on the model.
Lastly, the Poco F6 5G features a plastic back and frame with a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus over the screen. The Poco F6 5G features an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. It weighs 179 grams and measures 8mm thick.

The design and build quality of the Poco F6 5G are quite average compared to the Xiaomi 14 CIVI and Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. Additionally, Xiaomi and Poco ditch the curved displays for flat screens with rounded edges, although the former does offer a good balance of form and functionality with the 'floating quad-curved display'.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra does look like the most premium phone on the list, while its IP68 rating gives it a distinct advantage in build quality. However, Xiaomi does maintain an equally impressive build, it does so while maintaining a more comfortable and compact form factor.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra vs Xiaomi 14 CIVI vs Poco F6 5G: Display, Battery
All three phones feature high-refresh-rate displays, although the Edge 50 Ultra goes up to 144Hz as opposed to 120Hz on the competition. However, both the Poco F6 5G and Xiaomi 14 CIVI supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, while the Edge 50 Ultra only supports the latter.
The Xiaomi 14 CIVI features the highest peak brightness of all three devices but in terms of display quality on paper, this feels like a three-way tie. The Poco F6 5G boasts the largest battery of the three devices, with the Xiaomi 14 CIVI coming in close second and the Edge 50 Ultra offering the smallest battery.
In terms of battery life, the Xiaomi 14 CIVI does offer a distinct advantage as it fits a large 4,700 cell in a relatively compact body. However, the Edge 50 Ultra not only offers the fastest charging of the three but also supports wireless and reverse wireless charging.
Xiaomi 14 CIVI vs Motorola Edge 50 Ultra vs Poco F6: Performance, Software
All three devices use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, so we'll give this round to the Poco F6 5G because of its impressive price-to-performance proposition. All three phones also run the latest Android 14 software with their custom skins on top.
Both the Xiaomi 14 CIVI and Poco F6 5G use the HyperOS custom skin, which offers plenty of customization, while maintaining a rather clean interface. Xiaomi also allows you to delete most pre-installed bloatware. However, we prefer Motorola's near-stock Android interface here. All three phones come with a myriad of exciting AI features.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra vs Xiaomi 14 CIVI vs Poco F6 5G: Cameras
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra uses a 50 MP OmniVision OV50H primary sensor with a wide f/1.6 aperture and a large f/1.33" sensor size. The main camera here also supports OIS and Laser AF. The other two cameras include a 64 MP periscope lens with an f/2.4 aperture, 3x optical zoom, and OIS as well as a 50 MP Samsung JN1ultrawide lens.
The Xiaomi 14 CIVI uses a 50 MP Hunter 800 primary sensor with a large f/1.63 aperture, OIS support, and an 1/1.55" sensor size. The main camera is accompanied by a 12 MP ultrawide lens and a 50 MP telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom with an f/2.0 aperture.
The Poco F6 5G uses a 50 MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, a 1/1.95" sensor size, and OIS support. The main camera is paired with an 8 MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide lens. It is safe to say the Poco F6 5G's camera setup is the weakest of the lot.
Up front, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra features a 50 MP selfie camera with an f/1.9 aperture and AF support. On the other hand, the Poco F6 5G opts for a 20 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Lastly, the Xiaomi 14 CIVI features a 32 MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture and AF as well as a 32 MP ultrawide selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

We haven't tested the cameras on all three phones, but the Xiaomi 14 CIVI managed some excellent results with its Lecia-branded lenses. On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra features the largest rear camera sensors of the three. The Poco F6 5G comes in dead last in terms of both camera quality and versatility.
If you take a lot of portrait shots and selfies, we'd recommend the Xiaomi 14 CIVI over the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. However, the Edge 50 Ultra does offer a formidable zoom lens and a larger main camera sensor. It also has a higher resolution ultrawide lens and selfie camera.
Xiaomi 14 CIVI vs Poco F6 5G vs Motorola: Which is the Best?
If you are looking for the best smartphone with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, then the Poco F6 5G certainly isn't it. However, the Poco F6 5G is the best phone on our list for mobile gaming, offering access to all the great performance and AI features of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip at a more affordable price.
On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra sits on the exact opposite side of the spectrum, debuting as the most expensive phone in India with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. Although on paper, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra comes as close to being a flagship as possible. Given its specifications, the Edge 50 Ultra should be able to go toe-to-toe with phones in the premium range.
Lastly, we have the Xiaomi 14 CIVI, which sits in a very sweet spot, perfectly balancing specifications and pricing. Most of the features it loses out on aren't essential to delivering a solid flagship killer. We'd be more than willing to skip a powerful zoom lens, a slightly better ultrawide lens, and wireless charging if it meant saving 12K.
