Motorola has not yet made any official announcement around the Motorola Moto Z Play, however rumors have been doing rounds that the phone is under works. Rumors and conjectures have somewhat confirmed that the phone exists and might get launched sooner than later.
As far as its specifications are concerned, enough is now known about the device, courtesy leaks and rumored reports. The device was earlier spotted on AnTuTu site, which spilled the beans about its specifications.
Now, the unannounced Moto Z Play is spotted on China's TENAA regulatory agency's certification, which suggests imminent launch of the phone. The phone appears on certification a few days after a set of pictures of the device showed up online, which showed its design and confirmed the presence of audio jack. A recent report also suggested that Motorola is working on offering bigger pixels on the rear camera of its next generation Moto Z and Moto X smartphones.

Octa-core chipset to take care of performance:
The phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 chipset with an octa-core CPU, paired with an Adreno 506 GPU for graphics.
Huge 64GB expandable internal storage:
There seems to be enough storage space on the upcoming Moto Z Play smartphone. To team up with the chipset, there will be a 3GB of RAM inside along with 64GB of native storage, expandable using a microSD card.

A recent photo leak showed off the 3.5mm earphone jack on the Moto Z Play. While the other Moto Z models come without the audio jack, it seems like Motorola is bringing the slot back with the upcoming Moto Z Play smartphone.
To take care of the power supply to the phone, there will be either a 3300mAh or a 3510mAh battery on board. The battery will most likely be supported with quick charge technology for a faster charging of the battery and power saving mode available on the phone.
USB Type C and more:
The phone will come pretty slim, measuring in at 6.99mm in thickness. The Moto Z Play will be based on the design of its previously launched models, however with slight changes including the presence of an audio jack and more. Like its older siblings, the Moto Z Play will also come with USB Type C connectivity port. The handset will be offered in Black and White colour variants.
