MWC 2024 | Checkout the Most Anticipated Smartphones Expected to Arrive at the Event

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is just around the corner. MWC 2024 is set to take place in Barcelona on February 26. The event will showcase several smartphones from various OEMs across different price ranges.

From Xiaomi and Nothing to Realme and Honor, OEMs are set to introduce new smartphones as well as unveil also released ones globally. Here's a list of the most popular smartphones that will likely debut or be showcased in some capacity at MWC 2024.

Most Anticipated Smartphones at MWC 2024

Xiaomi 14 Series

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra recently made its debut in China has the top-end phone in the segment with an impressive set of Leica cameras and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The Chinese smartphone maker also recently announced the Xiaomi 14 launch date in India.

We believe all three phones, the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, will show up at MWC 2024. Moreover, we may also receive word about the Xiaomi 14 series global launch date at the event.

Nothing Phone 2a

The Nothing Phone 2a is making its debut in India and internationally on March 5. Nothing has been gradually teasing details about the Phone (2a) in the build-up to the official launch. However, the design of the Nothing Phone (2a) is still under wraps. We are likely to get our first look of the Nothing Phone 2a's design at MWC 2024.

HMD Smartphone

HMD is set to make its foray into the smartphone business, independent of Nokia, soon. And we will likely see the first HMD-branded smartphone at MWC 2024. India is also set to be a big part of HMD's plans with the brand plotting to tailor its first smartphone for the Indian market.

Honor Magic 6 Series

The flagship Honor Magic 6 series is also expected to make its global debut at MWC 2024. To recall, the Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro were first unveiled in China last month.

The Honor Magic 6 series features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, an LTPO OLED display, and a flagship-grade camera setup. Additionally, the Honor Magic 6 Pro also features a one-of-a-kind 180 MP periscope camera.

Realme GT 5 Pro

The Realme GT 5 Pro made its debut in China back in December 2023. The Realme GT 5 Pro is the first smartphone from the brand to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and the first to feature a periscope camera sensor since the Realme X3 Super Zoom back in 2020. Realme could showcase the GT 5 Pro at MWC 2024 and provide an official global release date for the device at the event.

Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra

Asus could showcase the Zenfone 11 Ultra at MWC 2024 in Barcelona. The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra will make its global debut on March 14. However, the handset could be showcased at MWC 2024, revealing some of its exciting new features. According to reports, the Zenfone 11 Ultra could be a redesigned version of the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro.

Sony Xperia 1 VI

The Sony Xperia 1 VI is expected to make its debut at MWC 2024 on February 26. It will succeed the Xperia 1 V and will offer an updated camera setup with three 48 MP rear camera sensors.

Unlike the Xperia 1 V, which features the Exmor T mobile stacked sensor on the primary camera, the Xperia 1 VI will use it on all three rear cameras. Stay tuned to Gizbot for more information about the Xperia 1 VI.

Tecno Pova 6 Series, Foldables

Tecno is also gearing up to make a big splash at MWC 2024 with the launch of its Pova 6 series. The line-up will include the Tencno Pova 6 and Pova 6 Pro. Tecno has signed a partnership with Dolby Laboratories to bring Dolby Atmos support to its Pova 6 series.

Last year, the Tecno Phantom V Fold was unveiled as the world's most affordable foldable smartphone, while the Tenco Phantom V Flip was also unveiled on the more affordable side of flip smartphones. At MWC 2024, Tecno is expected to provide detail plans about future foldables.

MWC 2024: Other Possible Debutants

Samsung and Google will also be present at MWC 2024, although we don't expect any smartphone launches from either. Samsung will likely showcase upcoming AI features of its Galaxy S24 line-up. However, we could also get news of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy 35 5G.

Google will also likely showcase AI-integration in its Pixel smartphones as no hardware announcement appears to be on the cards. TCL is ever-present at MWC 2024, and this year will be no exception with the brand plotting multiple smartphone releases at the event.
