OnePlus is scheduled to launch a new device, the OnePlus 3T on November 15. The company confirmed the same on their Twitter handle, however, the name of the smartphone is still unknown and we are expecting it to be named as OnePlus 3T according to several leaks.
Having said that, yesterday evening, a new device from OnePlus has been spotted on popular benchmarking site, GeekBench. Here's what the leaked benchmark has to say about the mysterious OnePlus phone.
Will be Called as OnePlus ‘Pixel’
The benchmark listing shows that the smartphone will be called as ‘OnePlus Pixel', which seems to be weird in many ways because the Google phones released this year are called as Pixel. So, will OnePlus copy the naming convention? It sure is, according to the listing.
Android 7.1 Nougat
This is the much-interesting specification spotted on the listing. The mysterious OnePlus Pixel is said to feature ‘Android 7.1 Nougat' out-of-the-box. The OnePlus 3T launching on November 15 might also come with Android Nougat.
Underclocked Snapdragon 820 SoC
The listing further reveals that OnePlus Pixel will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with all the four cores clocked at 1.59GHz. Also, the smartphone will get the same 6GB of RAM same as the OnePlus 3.
The successor to OnePlus X?
Last year, OnePlus released a mid-range smartphone, OnePlus X to boost up their sales. However, that didn't happen. Also, the company's CEO said that they are killing the OnePlus X series to concentrate on flagship phone each year. That being said, the OnePlus Pixel might feature a 5-inch display and it if does so, it will be a successor to OnePlus X.
OnePlus 3T to Launch on November 15!
As said earlier, the OnePlus 3T is scheduled to launch on November 15. The smartphone will be the successor to the popular OnePlus 3 and might come with latest Snapdragon 821 chipset. A new rumor popped online suggest that it will feature 8GB of RAM.
