These Oppo Phones Could Get Android 16 with ColorOS 16 – Is Yours on the List?

With Google rolling out Android 16 earlier than usual in June 2025, several smartphone makers are now working to adapt the OS into their own custom user experiences.

Oppo, which layers its software with ColorOS, appears to be taking a measured approach, focusing on stability and polish before releasing its next major software upgrade—ColorOS 16.

ColorOS 16 Beta Is Already Underway

While Oppo hasn’t announced an official release date, early signs suggest development is progressing. A closed beta listing for the Find X8 series recently appeared on the company’s beta program page, pointing to an imminent public beta. Back in April, Oppo had already launched an Android 16 beta for select models, and the broader ColorOS 16 beta is expected to follow soon.

Based on past update cycles, the stable version of ColorOS 16 could begin rolling out in the coming months, with flagship and premium mid-range models likely receiving it first.

Unofficial List of Supported Devices

Although Oppo has yet to confirm which phones will get Android 16, tech publication Gizmochina has compiled a likely list of eligible devices. The projection is based on Oppo’s update policy and recent hardware releases.

Rollout Strategy
