Oppo F1s Launched in India at Rs. 17,990: 11 Important Things to Know
Oppo is one such company who has managed to keep their fans at the edge of their seat. Following the launch of Oppo F1 and F1 Plus back in January, the company has launched another variant in the same series in the Indian market today at an event in Mumbai.
Yes, today the China-based manufacturer has launched the Oppo F1s in India at a price of Rs. 17,990. This smartphone resembles its siblings F1 and F1 Plus quite a bit.

Similar to its elder sibling the Oppo F1s is a camera-centric smartphone and comes with 16MP front camera with variosu features inside and claims to capture the best selfies. The handset will be available at retail stores across India and to know more about the features, specs and UI of the Oppo F1s, take a look below.
However, it feels a bit awkward to have the same Android 5.1 Lollipop instead of moving forward to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Talking about the Oppo F1s, this smartphone looks very similar to the Oppo F1 Plus and measures at 7.3 mm in thickness and weighs around 160 grams. The Oppo F1S comes with a 5.5-inch HD 720p display with 2.5D curved glass. Also, there is Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top of the screen. This selfie-centric smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz under the hood. Also, there is 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up with a micro SD card. Moving on to the USP, the Oppo F1S comes with 16 MP front camera with the 1/3.1-inch sensor and F/2.0 aperture. As per the company, this allows more light to enter the camera and enhance its sensitivity. The sensor can capture pictures that with a great level of detail and depth. On the back side, the smartphone sports a 13MP camera with dual tone LED flash. The selfie camera comes with features such as Selfie Panorama, filters and Beautify 4.0 to enhance the photos. Using the beautification features on the Oppo F1s, you can click perfect selfies. The Beautify 4.0 feature has been upgraded with two skin tone modes, seven beautify levels, and upgraded photo processing algorithms. It can capture selfies with clear skin, striking features, and vivid eyes. The Screen Flash Function is upgraded and it includes an auto mode that selects the appropriate level of brightness for the surroundings automatically. Coming to the software, the Oppo F1S is shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. However, it feels a bit awkward to have the same Android 5.1 Lollipop instead of moving forward to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Oppo F1s comes with a fingerprint sensor that is placed at the front. It can recognize the fingerprint and unlock the device in just 0.22 seconds. Also, it lets you add up to five different fingerprints to various apps and contacts. The fingerprint sensor works efficiently and it is quite smooth in functionality. The Oppo F1S supports connectivity options including 4G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Glonass. The device comes with a triple card slot tray that can house dual Nano SIM cards with 4G support and a micro SD card slot for expandable storage up to 128 GB. Moreover, the Oppo F1S is powered by a 3,075 mAh battery under the hood with VOOC fast charging technology. The battery is claimed to render up to 14 hours of backup to the device. Moreover, the ColorOS 3.0 has power saving optimizations that will stretch the backup.Design
