The OPPO Find X8 series has officially been unveiled in India, introducing two new smartphones to the fray. The OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are the first smartphones in India to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip in India, while also being the first from the brand to run Android 15-based ColorOS 15.

But while the two phones look similar, there are some discernible differences between them. So without any delays, let's look at the key differences between the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro.

OPPO Find X8 vs Find X8 Pro: What's the Difference?

The OPPO Find X8 Pro features a more rounded design with a micro-curved screen. It is also slightly thicker and weighs more than the vanilla Find X8. The vanilla OPPO Find X8 features a squarish, iPhone-esque design. Both phones come in different back panels with matte backs and an alert slider on the top left side.

Moreover, the OPPO Find X8 Pro has a 'Quick Button' on the bottom right to instantly access the camera when required. The OPPO Find X8 series also introduces OPPO Armour Shield construction for enhanced durability. Although the vanilla model is Swiss SGS and Military-Grade certified. Lastly, both phones feature an IP68+IP69 rating, offering the best resistance to dust and water.

Apart from the curved and flat panels and the size, the display specifications on the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are mostly similar. Both phones feature an adaptive refresh rate but the Find X8 Pro leverages LTPO technology and can refresh between 1Hz to 120Hz.

The 'Pro' model also has slimmer bezels, while both handsets get adequate eye-protection features. Both phones feature a similar chipset, software, and charging support. However, the OPPO Find X8 Pro has a larger battery

The OPPO Find X8 Pro features a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main camera with an f/1.6 aperture, OIS, and a 1/1.4" sensor size, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultrawide lens with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus, a 50MP Sony LYT-600 73mm periscope shooter with an f/2.6 aperture and OIS, and a 50MP 135mm Sony IMX858 periscope unit with an f/4.3 aperture and OIS.

The vanilla Find X8 features a 50MP Sony LYT-700 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, OIS, and a 1/1.56" sensor size, a 50MP Samsung 5KJN5 ultrawide lens with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus, and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 73mm periscope shooter with an f/2.6 aperture and OIS. Both phones feature a 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

The rear camera system on both phones is co-developed with Hasselblad. We have yet to fully test the cameras on both phones, but the Find X8 Pro has the clear advantage here, offering a larger primary camera sensor and two periscope lenses.

So not only will the Find X8 Pro offer better shots from the main camera, but it also offers more flexibility with enhanced zooming capabilities. Moreover, the OPPO Find X8 Pro also features a 'Quick' camera button on the bottom right side.

There are few differences between the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. The 'Pro' model's primary advantage lies in its camera system, which offers more flexibility and enhanced capabilities. However, given the price difference of Rs 30,000 between the two phones, we'd recommend opting for the vanilla Find X8 if you want a good flagship smartphone.
