OriginOS 7 Based on Android 17 Coming to These Vivo and iQOO Phones: Check Rollout Timline and New Features

Vivo is preparing to roll out OriginOS 7, its next-generation Android-based software skin for Vivo and iQOO smartphones. The company has already started beta testing OriginOS 7 for select devices in China, with the stable release expected to follow in the coming months.

While Vivo has yet to announce the complete global rollout schedule, existing software support patterns provide an indication of which Vivo and iQOO phones are likely to receive the update.

OriginOS 7 Eligible Vivo Phones

Vivo X Series: The expected eligible models include the Vivo X Fold 6, X Fold 5, X Fold 3 Pro, X300, X300 Pro, X300 Ultra, X300 FE, X200, X200 Pro, X200 FE, X200T, X100 and X100 Pro.

Vivo V Series: The Vivo V70, V70 Lite, V70 FE, V70 Elite, V60, V60e, V60 Lite, V60 Lite 4G, V50, V50e, V50 Lite, V50 Lite 4G, V40 and V40 Pro are expected to receive OriginOS 7.

Vivo T Series: The expected eligible T-series smartphones include the Vivo T5, T5 Pro, T5 Lite, T5x, T5e, T4, T4 Pro, T4 Ultra, T4 Lite, T4x and T4R.

Vivo S and Y Series: The expected eligible models from the S and Y series include the Vivo S2, Y600, Y600 Turbo, Y500, Y500 Pro, Y500s, Y500i, Y400, Y400 4G, Y400 Pro, Y400 Pro+, Y300 GT, Y300t, Y300i, Y60, Y51 Pro, Y31d 4G, Y21 (2026), Y11 (2026) and Y05 4G.

OriginOS 7 Eligible iQOO Phones

iQOO Flagship Series: The expected eligible flagship models include the iQOO 15, iQOO 15 Ultra, iQOO 15R, iQOO 13, iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro.

iQOO Z Series: The iQOO Z11, Z11 Lite, Z11x, Z11i, Z10, Z10x, Z10R and Z10 Lite are expected to receive the OriginOS 7 update.

iQOO Neo Series: The expected eligible Neo-series models include the iQOO Neo 10, Neo 10R and Neo 9 Pro.

This list is based on Vivo and iQOO's existing software update patterns and should be treated as an expected eligibility list rather than an official confirmation. Vivo does not maintain a completely clear update policy across all its entry-level and budget smartphones, so some additional models could eventually be added.

OriginOS 7 New Features: What to Expect

Vivo has yet to reveal the complete OriginOS 7 feature list. However, reports from users testing beta builds suggest that the update could introduce several visual and animation improvements.

One of the reported changes is a liquid glass-style interface featuring highlights, shadows, refraction and dynamic lighting effects. System animations are also said to be more fluid, with smoother and more natural transitions when opening applications.

The beta reportedly introduces bouncy, spring-like animations, along with new themes and additional customisation options.

More OriginOS 7 features are expected to be revealed as Vivo expands beta testing and gets closer to the stable rollout. For now, users should treat the eligible-device list and rollout timeline as provisional until Vivo officially confirms them.

When Will OriginOS 7 Roll Out?

Vivo has not announced an official global release date for OriginOS 7 yet. However, the company appears to be moving faster with the new software compared with last year's OriginOS 6 rollout.

The OriginOS 7 beta programme in China began earlier than the corresponding OriginOS 6 beta programme. Based on this timeline, the global OriginOS 7 beta could arrive around early September, although this remains an estimate.

If testing progresses smoothly, the stable global OriginOS 7 rollout could begin around October. Vivo is expected to announce the official schedule closer to the release.
