Poco F6 vs Realme GT 6T vs iQOO Neo 9 Pro: Which is India’s Best-Performing Mid-Ranger?
Poco recently dropped a new smartphone in its F series in India. The Poco F6 5G debuts as the first smartphone in India to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, making it one of the fastest mid-range smartphones in the country. However, the Poco F6 5G isn't without competition.
In fact, we only recently saw the launch of the Realme GT 6T in India, the first smartphone in the country to use the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, a powerful chip in its own rank. Add the iQOO Neo 9 Pro to the list and the Poco F6 5G faces some serious competition. So, let's find out which of these phones offer the best performance.

Performance
The difference between the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC on the Poco F6 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip on the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, in terms of raw performance, is negligible. However, the SD 8s Gen 3 chipset does offer a major leap in AI performance, enabling faster on-device machine learning.
Going by AnTuTu figures, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip offers performance comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. However, the SD 8s Gen 3 brings newer ARM cores for better peak sustained performance. Additionally, the difference in performance between the Adreno 735 GPU (SD 8s Gen 3) and the Adreno 740 GPU (SD 8 Gen 2) is negligible.
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset offers a major leap in AI performance over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC on the Realme GT 6T isn't too far behind the competition, featuring the same CPU cluster and GPU as the Poco F6's SD 8s Gen 3 chip.
While the SD 7+ Gen 3 chip does fall short of the competition, the margins are closer than you think. However, if we had to pick the best smartphone for overall performance, then the Poco F6 5G would come out on top.
Display
None of the three OEMs skimp on display tech. However, the Realme GT 6T and iQOO Neo 9 Pro feature LTPO panels, ensuring adaptive refresh rates. On the other hand, the Poco F6 5G's AMOLED display supports both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision formats, making it the best for content consumption.
The iQOO Neo 9 Pro does have a slightly higher refresh rate but that difference is not going to be easy to spot with the naked eye. Moreover, the Realme GT 6T also features the brightest screen in the segment, with a peak brightness of 6,000 nits and HBM of 1,600 nits.
Cameras
While all three smartphones feature a 50 MP primary sensor, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro's Sony IMX920 sensor is the largest of the three. Both the Realme GT 6T and Poco F6 5G use 50 MP Sony LYT-600 main sensors, which is underwhelming considering their prices.
All three phones also feature 8 MP ultrawide lenses. Up front, the Realme GT 6T features the highest resolution selfie camera. Additionally, the GT 6T is also the only phone to offer 4K video recording on both the front and rear cameras. In terms of camera performance, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro edges it.
Battery, Software
In terms of battery life, the larger cell on the Realme GT 6T will ensure the best endurance of the three. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro has the second largest battery, while the Poco F6 5G is not far behind. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro and Realme GT 6T also feature faster charging compared to the Poco F6 5G.
On the software side, all three phones run Android 14 out of the box, although we prefer HyperOS on the Poco F6 5G compared to Realme UI and Funtouch OS. Not only does HyperOS offer more in terms of customizability, it also features a cleaner interface compared to Funtouch OS and Realme UI.
Design and Build
The Poco F6 5G and Realme GT 6T both feature plastic back panels with a matte finish, although the iQOO Neo 9 Pro offers the option of AG glass or vegan leather. The frames on all three devices are made of plastic. Moreover, the Poco F6's front is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, while Realme uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Poco F6 vs Realme GT 6T vs iQOO Neo 9 Pro: Final Thoughts
There's no separating the three phones in terms of raw performance, although the Poco F6's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 edges out the competition in terms of AI performance. It also offers better sustained performance than its competitors. However, all three phones can deliver flagship-grade performance.
In terms of the display quality, all three phones are evenly matched, although the LTPO tech on the Realme GT 6T and iQOO Neo 9 Pro will consume less power. iQOO Neo 9 Pro, on the other hand, has the most reliable cameras of the lot, while Realme offers better selfie camera performance.
If we had to pick one of the three phones, we'd go with the Poco F6 5G, which is not only the most affordable of the three, but it also starts out with double the storage of its competitors. HyperOS also brings the best software experience of the three. However, in terms of the overall smartphone experience, it is hard to separate the three.
