Poco X7 vs Poco X7 Pro: What's the Difference?
In terms of design, the Poco X7's triple-camera setup is positioned in the center, while the two rear cameras on the Poco X7 Pro are vertically aligned on the left, offering a more minimalist look. Moreover, both phones feature glass protection on the front, although the X7 opts for a plastic back panel as opposed to the glass back on the X7 Pro.
However, you can get both the Poco X7 and Poco X7 Pro in vegan leather. Both phones have an IP68+IP69 rating for flagship-grade water and dust resistance. Another major difference between the two phones is the flat screen on the Poco X7 Pro and the curved display on the vanilla Poco X7.
Display specifications are identical on both phones, although the vanilla Poco X7 is protected by tougher Gorilla Glass Victus 2 compared to Gorilla Glass 7i on the Poco X7 Pro. The Poco X7 Pro offers a slightly higher peak brightness than its vanilla counterpart. Finally, the Poco X7 Pro packs a much larger battery and faster charging than the vanilla Poco X7.
In terms of performance, it is no competition, the Poco X7 Pro's MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra is significantly faster than the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra on the vanilla X7. The MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC also delivers superior AI performance and better gaming experience.

The Poco X7 Pro has one less lens than the vanilla X7, although it is only just a 2MP macro shooter. The other cameras are the same across both phones, including the main, ultrawide, and front shooters. It is worth noting that the Poco X7 Pro will benefit from a better image signal processor (ISP).
Poco X7 vs Poco X7 Pro: Which One Should You Buy?
The differences between the Poco X7 and X7 Pro are few and far between, with the latter only offering minor gains in all areas, apart from performance. If you want a strong mid-range smartphone with good value for money, then the Poco X7 should be the obvious choice. The vanilla X7 is also the more durable of the two phones.
However, the Poco X7 Pro is miles ahead in terms of performance. The MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chip is an absolute beast with all big cores, making it excellent for gaming and executing more demanding tasks. Finally, the Poco X7 Pro also supports several AI features out of the box to offer a more seamless user experience. But if you had to pick one and gaming was not a factor, we'd recommend the vanilla Poco X7 over the X7 Pro.
