Realme 14 Pro vs Vivo T3 Pro vs Redmi Note 14 Pro: Differences

Design and Build

All three phones feature a curved screen with unique camera modules on the back. With the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro, the camera island is placed in the center, while Vivo T3 Pro's cameras sit on the side. All three phones come with a vegan leather rear panel option as well as a plastic back.

However, Realme ups its game here, with a colour changing back panel as well as a vibrant and elegant Jaipur Pink shade. Additionally, the Vivo T3 Pro also comes in an elegant matte Emerald Green shade. On the flip side, the Note 14 Pro doesn't come in any standout shades.

Realme 14 Pro vs Redmi Note 14 Pro vs Vivo T3 Pro: Full Comparison

All three phones feature plastic frames, although the Note 14 Pro's Gorilla Glass Victus 2 up front makes it the most durable of the three. The Realme 14 Pro, on the other hand, uses mid-level Gorilla Glass 7i, while the Vivo T3 Pro opts for Schott Glass. Finally, the Realme 14 Pro offers the best resistance to water and dust with the Note 14 Pro following in close second.

Display

All three phones feature OLED displays, although the Note 14 Pro's display has a higher resolution, making it the sharpest of the three. On the other hand, both the Realme 14 Pro and Vivo T3 Pro have brighter screens than the Note 14 Pro. Finally, the Redmi Note 14 Pro's display supports both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision formats. The Redmi Note 14 Pro appears to be the better display for entertainment, while the Realme 14 Pro and Vivo T3 Pro are better for daily usage.

Performance

In terms of performance, both the Realme 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro use custom versions of the same chip with similar CPU clock speeds. Realme has incorporated a 6000mm2 cooling system, which is 1000mm2 larger than that on the Redmi Note 14 Pro. Finally, the Vivo T3 Pro's Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip features faster CPU and GPU performance than the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC.

Moreover, the Snapdragon chip also ensures a more stable gaming experience and better sustained performance. We haven't tested all three phones, so there's no telling how software features will boost performance, but based on specifications alone, the Vivo T3 Pro is the clear winner here.

Battery & Charging

The Realme 14 Pro's battery is 500 mAh larger than the cell on the Note 14 Pro and T3 Pro. Moreover, Realme also promises four years of fluid battery performance, although Vivo ups this to 50 months. On the flip side, the Vivo T3 Pro nearly doubles the charging speed as compared to the opposition. While all three phones have massive batteries, the Vivo T3 Pro stands out for perfectly balancing battery size and charging speed. However, Realme does promise better battery longevity.

Software

The Realme 14 Pro is the only phone of the three to run on Android 15 out of the box. While the Redmi Note 14 Pro was released on Android 14, it does offer three years of OS updates, which means it will also get the Android 17 update with an additional year of security patches. Lastly, the Vivo T3 Pro promises OS updates up to Android 16.

While all three phones come with their own unique software skin, we prefer HyperOS on the Note 14 Pro as opposed to Realme UI and FuntouchOS. All three software skins come with their fair share of bloatware, although HyperOS on the Note 14 Pro offers greater levels of customizability, giving it a narrow win here.

Cameras

The Realme 14 Pro is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS support and a secondary monochrome camera. Up front, the Realme 14 Pro opts for a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture. While the Realme 14 Pro has a quality primary sensor, the overall camera setup does lack versatility.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro features a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor that features a bright f/1.5 aperture and OIS support. The main camera is paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro unit. Moreover, the Note 14 Pro also boasts a 20MP selfie camera.

Finally, the Vivo V40e features a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS and an f/1.79 aperture as well as an 8MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture. Moreover, the Vivo V40e also boasts a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

We haven't tested all three phones' cameras, but the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Vivo T3 Pro are clearly more versatile than the Realme 14 Pro. The camera sensors are the same on all three phones, although the LYT-600 is a rebranded IMX882 sensor, with minor updates. Finally, the Note 14 Pro has a higher-res selfie camera. On paper, the Note 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro offer more camera and AI features than the Vivo T3 Pro, although Realme falls behind due to the lack of a dedicated ultrawide lens.

Realme 14 Pro vs Redmi Note 14 Pro vs Vivo T3 Pro: Conclusion

In conclusion, while each phone has its unique strengths, the Vivo T3 Pro stands out for its performance and fast charging capabilities. The Redmi Note 14 Pro excels in display quality and camera versatility, making it a strong contender. The Realme 14 Pro, with its innovative design and better water resistance, offers great value for daily use. Ultimately, your choice will depend on which features you prioritize most in a smartphone within the sub-25K budget range.
