Samsung Announces Galaxy J2 (2016) Smartphone: All You Need to Know

Samsung India today announced the launch of two new additions to its Galaxy J series of smartphones, dubbed as Galaxy J2 (2016) and J Max. These two new smartphones come with Turbo Speed Technology and Smart Glow.

Talking about the Smart Glow, this is the next-gen color LED notification system. This Smart Glow consists of LED ring around the rear camera which can be customized for priority notifications of any app or contact.

Users can also use the Smart Glow LED ring to position the rear camera for higher megapixel selfies with the Selfie Assist feature. Further, it comes with a new Smart Notifier software feature which allows customizable bucketing of notifications so that users never miss important notifications.

It's a Make in India initiative!

Moreover, the Galaxy J2 (2016) comes with Make for India' innovations such as S bike mode and Ultra Data Saving mode. The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) sports a 5-inch HD sAMOLED display. Also, it comes powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad-Core processor under the hood.

In terms of storage, the Galaxy J2 (2016) comes with 1.5GB RAM, 8GB ROM, with an expandable option of up to 128GB via MicroSD card slot. The Galaxy J2 (2016) sports 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera on board.

The camera comes with many features including Auto, Beauty Face, Continuous Shot, HDR (High Dynamic Range), Panorama, Pro, Selfie, Sports, Sound & Shot, Rear Camera Selfie.

Ultra Data Saving (UDS)

Moreover, this device is shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Further, the 2016 variant is juiced with 2600mAh battery under the hood. The 'Ultra Data Saving' (UDS) mode provides up to 50% mobile data savings by blocking unnecessary background applications from consuming data.
