Thanks to the rumors and conjectures, it is well known by now that Samsung is prepping to introduce the new variant of its top of the line Note series of smartphones. A recent report also suggested that the Galaxy Note 7 (or Note 6) Unpacked event would happen on August 2 in New York.

Samsung launched the Note 5 last year, and rumors have it that Samsung might skip the Note 6 smartphone version to jump on to the Note 7 this year. Moreover, with the invitation to the Unboxed event hinting towards the Galaxy Note 7, this name seems more plausible!

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone is could be powered by Snapdragon 823 chipset coupled with a massive 6GB of RAM. Also expected is a 32GB, a 64GB and a 256GB variant of the phone!

The Galaxy Note 7 is likely to be dust and water resistance, just like the company's Galaxy S7 series that have certified water resistant capabilities.

If a new report is to be believed, the Samsung will finally be using an iris scanner for biometric authentication on Galaxy Note 7, to offer an enhanced security. As per Sammobile's report, a Korean camera firm Patron will supply the iris camera module.
The Galaxy Note 7 is likely to feature the same 12MP primary camera with dual-pixel technology that was seen on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.
As far as the software is concerned, the next gen Note is rumored to run Android N out of the box. Samsung will top the OS with its native TouchWiz UI.
An earlier rumor suggested that Samsung will enhance the S-Pen capabilities to offer a better user experience. It might have the ability to write on the curved screen.
The phone is expected to have a 4,000mAh battery with quick charge. Samsung might make it energy efficient to ensure that the smartphone's battery wouldn't die early.
