Right after renders, specifications, and features of the upcoming flagship foldable and premium clamshell-style foldable Android smartphones from Samsung surfaced online, the price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 too has leaked.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Price Substantially Higher Than The Galaxy Z Flip4?

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is going to be a global smartphone. In other words, the premium clamshell-style foldable Android smartphone will be available in several markets, presumably simultaneously.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 was launched last year. It sported an introductory price of €1,099, which was valid for the model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 with the same RAM and storage will reportedly cost €1,299.

The latest leak about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 price is from Greece. It is possible that the final price in other parts of the world, including in the Eurozone, could be different owing to local taxes, VAT, and other charges.

Regardless, buyers should expect a substantial price jump compared to last year's Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4. Some reports suggest, Samsung is planning for at least a 20 percent price hike.

Samsung could be confident about the significant price hike primarily because it is offering a huge secondary or outer display on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5. Needless to mention, the display is way bigger than the one on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Specifications, Features

The Galaxy Z Flip5 and the Galaxy Z Fold5 renders have leaked. They reconfirm most of the specifications and hardware of these foldable Android smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 has a large cover screen reminiscent of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. It features a hole-punch display design and flat sides, providing a unique aesthetic. Notably, Samsung has changed the alignment of the dual cameras from vertical to horizontal.

The Galaxy Z Flip5's foldable inner display is rumored to be a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a 1080 x 2640 pixels resolution. The outer screen is speculated to be a 3.4-inch panel with a 748 x 720 pixels resolution and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which would be paired with 8GB RAM. Buyers would be able to choose between 256GB and 512GB of RAM.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is rumored to feature a dual camera setup, comprising a 12MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, which would be accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. A 10MP front-facing camera with an f/2.4 aperture would be available on the inner foldable display for selfies.

The device is rumored to feature a 3,700mAh battery. Some of the connectivity options on the clamshell-style foldable Android smartphone include a USB Type-C 3.2 port, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 6E. Similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to operate on Android 13 with One UI 5.1.1.
