These Vivo and iQOO Phones Could Get Android 16 with Funtouch OS 16 – Is Yours on the List?
Google rolled out Android 16 unusually early this time—in June, instead of its typical October window. That’s already speeding things up for partner brands like Vivo, which had access to early builds and has already released betas for some of its flagship phones.
Vivo’s version of the software, Funtouch OS 16, hasn’t launched in stable form yet, but it’s in active development. With beta testing underway on select models, the full rollout may begin within a few weeks.

While the company hasn’t confirmed which devices will get the update, Gizmochina has published an unofficial list based on Vivo’s past rollout history and software support policies.
Funtouch OS 16 Release Timeline
The rollout will likely begin with the Vivo X and iQOO number series, then gradually expand to mid-range V and T series, and eventually reach the Y series and Pad lineup.

What's New in Android 16?
Android 16 focuses on improving security, multitasking, and overall usability. One major addition is Android Protection, a built-in suite designed to block scam calls, malicious apps, and unsafe websites. There's also a new Live Updates feature, which shows real-time info from apps like food delivery or ride-sharing directly on the lock screen or notification shade.
For notifications, Android 16 introduces a Cooldown mode that automatically lowers the volume of alerts from the same app if they come in too frequently. On large-screen devices, Desktop Windowing brings a more flexible multitasking setup-letting users open and resize multiple app windows like they would on a PC.
We're also expecting new AI tools and small visual upgrades, though some features may vary depending on the device.
Keep In Mind
This list is based on preliminary sources and not officially confirmed by Vivo or iQOO. Device eligibility could change based on internal testing, hardware limitations, or software decisions. A few of these models may also receive limited-feature versions of the update depending on region or market.
