Vivo is all set to unveil another futuristic and power-packed smartphone for Indian consumers, the Vivo V11 Pro. The new mid-range smartphone will be unveiled on the 6th of September, 2018. Like the company's recently launched smartphones - Vivo Nex and Vivo X21, the upcoming smartphone will also sport the revolutionary In-Display Fingerprint Technology. This time around, the new smartphone will feature the 4th Generation In-Display Fingerprint Scanner for much better performance. Besides, Vivo V11 Pro will also feature Dual-Engine Fast Charging and will be powered by the efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE Processor.
But what truly caught our attention is the 2PD camera. The new Vivo V11 Pro will sport a capable Dual-Pixel rear camera for best-in-class images in its respective price-point. It is the same camera technology that we have tested in the company's top-of-the-line Vivo X21 and Vivo Nex.
How does it improve the overall camera performance of the smartphone? Let's find out. But first, let's take a look at Vivo V11 Pro's camera specs.
Dual - 12MP Camera
Vivo V11 Pro will sport a Dual - 12MP Rear Camera. The primary camera works on a brighter f/1.8 aperture value and has 1.28μm pixels. It will have 24 million photosensitive units, which is indeed a massive number and will boost photosensitivity for better low-light performance. We can't wait to test the Vivo V11 Pro for low-light photography!
25MP High-Resolution AI Enabled Selfie Camera
For selfies, Vivo V11 Pro will sport a massive 25MP front-facing camera. The super high-resolution sensor will come equipped with the all-new AI Face Shaping technology, which as per Vivo will subtly enhance your facial features to create beautiful and clear selfies, while retaining your natural style.
Dual-Pixel: Better Images in Challenging Lighting
Photography works on light principles. If light is in sufficient amount, the pictures come out to be brighter and better. But what if you are taking a shot from a smartphone in challenging light conditions? Smartphones usually have smaller camera sensors that are not capable enough to let in more light in tricky situations. Result, the images are often blurry and have lot of unwanted noise with poor detailing. This is where Dual-Pixel Technology comes into play. The technology improves low-light camera performance by increasing the number of photodiodes in pixels. These pixels are basically the building blocks of an image.
As the dual-pixel technology increases the number of photodiodes, the process improves the focus speed of the lens, which in turn improves the sensor's accuracy to capture an object or a scene in uneven lighting. Better the focusing mechanism, better the overall image output in low-light. Just to give you a better understanding, a smartphone without a dual-pixel sensor camera cannot deliver decent images in low-light without a tripod; however, a handset with dual-pixel sensor camera will ensure far better results even without a stable tripod. With Vivo V11 Pro, you can just point and shoot, and the smartphone will ensure clear and bright images.
Brighter and Detailed Images
Thanks to the dual-pixel technology, the camera setup on the upcoming smartphone will be fast, accurate, and will perform better in challenging light conditions as compared to any standard smartphone camera. This is due to the fact that each pixel in the image captured by a dual-pixel camera can be further broken into two smaller parts. The two units operate independently to provide a massive boost in light sensitivity for brighter image output. Moreover, the Dual-Pixel Autofocus Technology also enhances the focus speeds as the camera sensor is provided with more light to quickly focus on the subject. The camera on the upcoming Vivo V11 Pro will be able to lock focus in just 0.03 seconds.
While we have not got our hands on the smartphone yet, we expect the Vivo V11 Pro to capture clear, highly detailed, and bright pictures even in irregular light conditions. If you have a knack for photography, stay tuned on Gizbot for the camera performance overview of Vivo V11 Pro.
Other Highlights of Vivo V11 Pro
While camera will be the centre of attraction for shutterbugs, Vivo V11 Pro will also deliver on other performance aspects. The smartphone already seems like a winner in the mid-range price-point as it will offer the futuristic In-Display Fingerprint Technology for convenience and enhanced security. You will also get to experience a snappy Infrared Face Unlock powered by the massive 25MP selfie camera.
The smartphone will be backed by the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, which is built on 14nm technology and is very well-known for its raw performance and efficiency. Moreover, the chipset will be injected with the power of machine learning to enhance battery, computing, and graphic performance in everyday smartphone usage. The Vivo V11 Pro will be unveiled on the 6th of September, 2018. Stay tuned on Gizbot.com for more updates on the upcoming mid-range smartphone.
