Vivo yesterday launched the Vivo V9 in the India. Just like many other smartphones from the company, the V9 is also a selfie-focused smartphone. However, this is not the reason why it is currently the talk of the town. The smartphone has grabbed our attention mostly because of its design. The V9 looks like an iPhone X clone.

While the Vivo V9 has been made official, the smartphone will go on sale only from 2nd week of April. Priced at Rs. 22,990, it will be available in Pearl Black, Champagne Gold and Sapphire Blue color variants. 19:9 display

Get over 18:9 displays, 2018 seems to be the year for phones with 19:9 displays. Vivo V9 is the first phone with a notched display to arrive in India. As stated, the phone looks identical to the iPhone X. It has the same full-screen display that has a 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch at the top.

If you somehow miss the Vivo branding, you may confuse it with Apple's latest flagship. While not everyone may not be a fan of notched displays, the V9 looks stunning even though the design is borrowed (read copied) from iPhone X.

24MP selfie camera

Selfie lovers will definitely like the Vivo V9. The smartphone is equipped with a large 24MP front camera that is capable of taking crisp and detailed images. Vivo has also injected the camera with the power of Artificial Intelligence that makes appropriate and relevant beautification enhancements whenever required to click great selfies.

Dual rear cameras

Not into clicking selfies? Well, the Vivo V9's rear cameras are pretty impressive as well. The smartphone is equipped with a dual camera setup at its back. There is a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor to create Bokeh effect. The rear camera is capable of recording videos in 4K format at 30fps.

The camera app also offers a slew of modes and filters such as Face Beauty video call, HDR, AR stickers, Portrait lighting effect to let users experiment.

AI Face Access

The Vivo V9 comes with an all-new AI Face Access technology, which scans the owner's facial features and unlocks instantaneously upon activation. It also identifies unauthorized access attempts by detecting light-reflected surfaces and subtle facial movements, helping prevent phone unlocking through use of photos or video.

Game Mode

The Vivo V9 comes with Game Mode. In Game Mode, users can block all messages, calls and alerts from disturbing them while gaming. Alternately, they can set it up to display phone calls from designated contacts only. Users can then choose to answer, reject or ignore calls by swiping up while playing.
