The Vivo X200 series recently made its debut in India as the second smartphone to use the flagship-grade MediaTek Dimenisty 9400 chip in the country. While the top-end Vivo X200 Pro arrives with an exceptional specs sheet, it isn't the only impressive MediaTek Dimensity 9400 phone in the country.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro is yet another MediaTek Dimensity 9400 beast with not two, not three, but four capable rear cameras. And considering the Find X8 Pro is around the same price range, we've decided to compare the specifications of the OPPO and Vivo's latest 'Pro' flagships.

Vivo X200 Pro vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: What's the Difference?

Both the OPPO Find X8 Pro and Vivo X200 Pro feature a premium design and build, although the Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the back and front, makes the former the tougher of the two. Moreover, the Vivo X200 Pro is slightly thicker and heavier than the Find X8 Pro. Both phones have a metal frame and an IP68+IP69 rating for resistance to dust and water.

While the display specifications are nearly identical for both phones, the curvature on the Find X8 Pro isn't as obvious as the Vivo X200 Pro. The Vivo X200 Pro and OPPO Find X8 Pro are also evenly matched in the performance department. However, you get an nifty alert slider with the Find X8 Pro as well as a cool camera control button.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro and Vivo X200 Pro also run Android 15 out of the box with their custom skin on top. We prefer ColorOS over FuntouchOS, although we haven't tested the software experience on the Vivo X200 Pro, so we wouldn't be able to make a fair assessment.

While both phones use silicon carbon battery technology, the battery on the X200 Pro is larger than that on the Find X8 Pro, although the difference is minuscule. On the flip side, the OPPO Find X8 Pro offers faster wireless charging, while wired charging is slightly faster on the X200 Pro.

The Vivo X200 Pro features a triple-camera setup co-developed with ZEISS, led by a 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor with CIPA 4.5 image stabilization and an f/1.57 aperture. It also includes a 200MP Samsung HP9 ZEISS APO Super Telephoto lens with the same stabilization and an f/2.67 aperture and a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL NJ1 ultrawide lens with an f/2.0 aperture. It also features a V3+ imaging chip and a 32MP Samsung ISOCELL KD1 selfie camera.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro features a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main camera with an f/1.6 aperture, OIS, and a 1/1.4" sensor size, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultrawide lens with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus, a 50MP Sony LYT-600 73mm periscope shooter with an f/2.6 aperture and OIS, and a 50MP 135mm Sony IMX858 periscope unit with an f/4.3 aperture and OIS. Up front, there's a 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie camera.

The Vivo X200 Pro features a larger primary camera sensor that handles noise better, giving it a clear edge over the Find X8 Pro. The combination of two telephoto shooters offers more versatility, although the X200 Pro's 200MP sensor offers greater magnification performance, while Vivo's portrait photography prowess is among the best in the industry. On paper, the Vivo X200 Pro does have a clear advantage over the Find X8 Pro.

OPPO Find X8 Pro vs Vivo X200 Pro: Final Thoughts

The differences between the Vivo X200 Pro and OPPO Find X8 Pro are few and far between. The two phones are pretty evenly matched in terms of pricing and specifications. However, if we'd have to pick between one of the two, it will have to be the Vivo X200 Pro for its camera capabilities.

That's not to say that the Find X8 Pro is lacking in the camera department, but the X200 Pro does appear to have a slight edge on paper. And given that the X200 Pro is slightly cheaper, we'd prefer it over the Find X8 Pro. On the flip side, the OPPO Find X8 Pro does offer greater durability on paper, which might make it a better choice for long term use.
