The Moto E3 for this year is already announced and it is awaited by the Motorola fans to be launched in their respective markets. This device is likely to be priced around Rs 9,000 in India and debut in early September, but the official confirmation on the same is awaited.
If the Moto E3 enters the Indian market with a price tag that is less than Rs 8,000, the device will surely compete against a slew of smartphones that are priced below Rs 10,000. One such device is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 that is a best-seller in India at Rs 9,999.

Redmi Note 3 has a better and sharp display
The Moto E3 is given a 5-inch HD 720p display that is average, but the Redmi Note 3 is bestowed with a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display that features the Sunlight Display hardware technology that adjusts the contrasts of the pixels as per the real time requirement. This way, the Xiaomi device has a better and sharp display.

Xiaomi phone excels in hardware too
As of now, Motorola has revealed that the Moto E3 will be energized by a quad-core processor of unspecified chipset. The device is given 1 GB of RAM to handle the multi-tasking requirements. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 3 is a powerhouse with a hexa-core Snapdragon 801 SoC that is paired with either 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM. Both have 16 GB of native memory capacity that can be expanded further using a micro SD card.

Talking of the software, the Moto E3 is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, whereas the Redmi Note 3 is based on the same iteration of the Android OS that is topped with the MIUI ROM that is customized to give a better user experience. Furthermore, the device will soon receive the MIUI 8 update that will give a better user experience with a slew of new features.

Redmi Note 3 gets the camera spotlight too
The Redmi Note 3 features better imaging optics with a 16 MP main snapper with dual-LED flash and PDAF. The Moto E3 features an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash. Both have a 5 MP front-facer that can handle the selfie department.
Battery life is decent
While the Moto E3 houses a 2,800 mAh battey, whereas the Redmi Note 3 is fueled by a larger 4,000 mAh battery as it is a phablet. No doubts that the Xiaomi phone will last for a longer duration.

Other features
The Xiaomi Redmi Note has a fingerprint scanner that is not present on the Moto E3. On the other hand, the latter is a nano-coating that makes it water-repellent.
