This is the basic version, so don't expect 3G connectivity. Of course you can consider an expensive model with 3G connectivity. The Wi-Fi only version is priced at Rs 10,000.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T211
Galaxy Tab 3 is an updated version of the best selling 7-inch display tablet. Nothing has changed much, except few design tweaks. The tablet is primarily aimed at students, so it's a fairly decent tablet made for student community. The 7-inch display has a resolution of 1024 x 600. Samsung powered UI is easy to use. The tablet a bit heavy to handle still we appreciate Samsung's efforts. The device comes with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The biggest advantage with Tab 3 T211 is that it has built-in 3G SIM connectivity. Even 3G voice calling is supported. You can use the tablet device as a full fledged phone. Micromax Canvas Tab P650
After the success of Canvas series, India-based Micromax thought to replicate same approach when it comes to tablets. The tablet looks premium, thanks to its metallic body. The 8-inch IPS display a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Under the hood, you will notice a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot). Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The makers have added a 4,800mAh Li Ion battery. The tablet supports 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Canvas Tab P650 also features a 5-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. For a price of Rs.16,500, we're kinda impressed with the hardware.
Lenovo IdeaTab A1000
Lenovo tablets are becoming quote popular of lately. This 7-inch display tablet comes with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of ROM. The tablet supports SIM connectivity that means Voice Calling feature is enabled. The device measures 10.7mm thin and weighs 340 grams. It also features dual speakers and on the top you get crisp sound, thanks to Dolby Audio enhancement. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The makers have added a 3,500mAh Li Ion battery. There's a front facing VGA quality camera give for long video chat. The IdeaPad A1000 is priced at Rs. 8,990 in the Indian market.
Asus FonePad
Apart from the Nexus 7, Asus is also manufacturing tablets in collaboration with Intel. The Asus manufactured FonePad comes with a 7-inch WXGA IPS display with resolution of 1280 X 800 pixels. It packs a 1.2-GHz Intel Atom single core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. There's a 3-mega pixel rear camera and a 1.2-mega pixel front facing camera fitted. The tablet comes with 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot). Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The FonePad comes with a 4,270mAh battery fitted inside. Just like Samsung Tab 3 T211, you can use the tablet as a 3G enabled phone. Overall, quite impressive design and performance is also not bad at all. Asking price - Rs 14,490
