The Gionee Elife E7 comes with a 16MP rear camera with 1/1.23-inch sensor and 1.34m pixel size. Apart from that, there's an 8MP front-facing camera with 1.4m pixel size. And as revealed by Gionee, the camera lens has been developed and customized based on the notable Largan M8 lens solution. The company also claims that the rear camera lens for the device is the most sensitive among all phone cameras currently serving in the market.

The Elife E7 basically makes use of OmniVision's OV16825 camera sensor, with the backlighting technology also based on the BSI-2 standard. But what's so special about this certain imaging module? Apparently, the module is capable of handling 2K and 4K video up to 60fps. But sadly, Gionee hasn't offered support for it in the current firmware for the device.

The camera interface is also pretty simple as users can look to switch between a general layout and a professional one in terms of settings. The device will offer you a number of modes such as the burst mode, HDR, Panorama and night.

There's also a ‘V-sign' mode that will allow you to capture a still almost automatically when someone poses with a ‘peace' sign. And although the focus speed seems pretty quick, a slight movement from you or your photo subject will lead to a blurry shot.

Apart from the normal camera mode, the E7 also offers a CharmCam camera support that offers live filters for applying different effects. Apart from that, it features various shooting modes, including Face beauty, a certain Eraser mode for removing unwanted objects from photos and even a PPT mode for capturing slideshows.

On first notice, it seems like quality of daylight images captured outdoors are good with impressive detailing, precise color reproduction, alongside an almost little or no noise supported contrast.
