HTC A55: High-End Desire Series Smartphone With 5.5 Inch QHD Display Leaks Out
Speculation surrounding the so-called HTC One (M9) are already coming true, suggesting that HTC could be preparing to unveil the monster handset at the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) in early March. At the same time, rumours have been rife about the One (M9) Plus, a large screen sized version of the forthcoming HTC One (M9).
While it's still unclear when the HTC One (M9) will make its debut, rumours are pointing to an unveiling of the HTC A55 with incredible spec sheet. It is rather believed that HTC's next smartphone will be under its Desire series.

Said to be codenamed "A55", the new leaked information is coming from @Upleaks. If the leak is genuine, the A55 will feature a large 5.5-inch QHD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, like LG G3.
Under the hood, the device is expected to come with a 2GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6795 processor and 3GB of RAM. Upleaks also reveals that the A55 will have 32GB of native storage, BoomSound frontal speakers, Bluetooth 4.1, a "less than" 3,000mAh battery, Android 5.0, Desire Sense 7.0 and will come in "white rose gold", "gray" and "brown gold" colours.
In the imaging department, the A55 will reportedly come with a 20-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a "13MP or 4MP UltraPixel" camera at the front side.
According to the tipped information, there will be two versions of the device with one planned for the EMEA market (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and a dual-SIM variant for Asia. Reportedly, the device will be launched later this month.
There's no word yet regarding how much the HTC A55 will cost at launch. However, we'll assume that it will be priced similarly to any premium smartphone available onto market today.
No further details about the purported handset have yet been spilled. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
