HTC Desire 516 - Highlighted Specifications
The mid-range HTC Desire 516 comes with a 5-inch qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540-pixels. It features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM and either 4GB of internal memory, which can be later expanded via a microSD card slot. On the camera front, there's a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing shooter. The handset runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The connectivity options on the phone included are 3G, Wi-Fi, Dual-SIM, Bluetooth, GPS, amongst others.
HTC Desire 516 - Should you buy?
The newest entrant in the mid-range segment, the Desire 516, is an average handset, if one asked to go by its spec sheet. It is recommended to consider the Motorola Moto G, instead of the HTC Desire 516. There are two reasons to support our claim: firstly the Moto G runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat out-of-the-box, plus it will also support the next-version of Android OS whenever the new update is up for download. Secondly, Motorola offers a range of accessories made for the Moto G - from colorful shells to power grip covers for extra protection. The Moto G starts at Rs. 12,490.
