The One (E8) has a 2,600mAh battery fitted inside. Unfortunately, you cannot remove the battery, which could be a big headache for users who are constantly travelling. We are yet to test how long a device can run on a single charge. If it lasts above 10 hours with 3G, then only the phone can win our crucial battery test.
The One (E8) is yet to become our favorite phone for 2014. The handset is handsome, and has a unique emotional connect, which we haven't experienced when we held the Galaxy S5 for the first time. Even without the metal build the device feels really great to hold.
To be frank, it does make sense to compare the HTC One (E8) and Samsung Galaxy S5, as both the devices have more-or-less similar hardware and retail price. Based on our experience, we can say that HTC has set a new benchmark with the introduction of the E8.
