Already, we had been hearing lot of rumors about the upcoming HTC One M9 Plus. Amid the tech gossip, the Taiwanese mobile manufacturer, HTC has confirmed it all by scheduling a launch event in Beijing on April 8th.
Most of the industry experts are anticipating that HTC will officially pull the cover off the One M9's successor - codenamed One M9+ (Plus). Reportedly, it is said to come with the same design as that of the One M9 with brushed metal unibody.
Moving on to the invite, it says, "More than One", with the picture of the back panel of the device along with the camera and LED flash.
HTC One M9+ (Plus): What to Expect
As far as the specifications are concerned, HTC One M9+ (Plus) is expected to sport a 5.2-inch Quad HD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels. According to numerous reports, it is also said to come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or MediaTek MT6795 Octa-Core SoC, along with 3GB RAM, depending on the country or region.
Few reports have suggested, that the One M9+ will be equipped with 32GB of internal memory along with expandable option via microSD card slot.
Coming to the USP of the device, the analysts have revealed in the past that, the mobile phone will flaunt a 20.7MP rear camera with dual LED flash along with 2.1MP secondary rear camera to capture depth information and 13MP or ultra-pixel front snapper.
If the rumor turns out to be true, HTC One M9+ (Plus) will support the connectivity options including 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth with aptX codec, GPS with GLONASS and Dual BoomSound speakers.
According to the leaks, it will carry a fingerprint sensor on the new home button and will be powered by a 2,840mAh battery. As all the above information is not officially confirmed, we advice you to take these details with a pinch of salt.
What About HTC made One E9
On the other hand, one more HTC smartphone is making rounds in the media world. Yes, we are talking about HTC One E9 was spotted on the Chinese equivalent of the FCC recently.
The handset is said to come with a 5.5-inch QHD display, powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6795 CPU along with 3GB RAM, 20MP camera and 32GB storage. The leaked images of the device show a large camera sensor at the back side and glossy back finish.
Moreover, today some more images have been leaked by a popular leakster @upleaks. It is likely, that the device will be named as HTC One E9 Plus, and will be limited to Asian markets.
Adding to that, the reports have indicated that the device will sport a Quad HD display. However, One E9 is reportedly set to launch in China next week, with a tentative price tag of around $480 (approx Rs. 29,927).
HTC Butterfly 3 Also in Works
Meanwhile, the HTC is also working on the Butterfly series for the selected Asian market and it is said to debut Butterfly 3 in Japan very soon.
As per upleaks, the device is expected to be sold by KDDI in Japan wit three variant options including Red, White and Blue. Also the details about the Butterfly 3 details are scarce, but we are expecting more information in the upcoming days.
