Back in June 2014, Lenovo announced its K920 smartphone in Shanghai at the Mobile Asia Expo 2014. It features a massive 6-inch Quad HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 801 SoC. Now, the mini variant of the handset has apparently made its way to the webosphere in a form of an image leak.
The new leak comes courtesy of the Chinese social media website Weibo and it shows a device that's believed to be the Lenovo K920 Vibe Z2 Pro mini sitting right next to the 6-inch Vibe Z2 Pro.
The alleged image suggests that the China-based smartphone maker is working on a mini version of the device. Speculations are that it might be possibly called as ‘K920 Vibe Z2 Pro Mini'. Though the image of the device speaks for itself, Lenovo has not talked about the smartphone formally until now.
If rumors are to be taken into account, the mini version of the K920 Vibe Z2 Pro Mini will come with a massive 5.5-inch display, which definitely doesn't fall in the same category than the regular mini devices that we have seen in the past. In contrast, the 5.5-inch display is larger than the regular flagship phones.
Apart from that, other rumored specifications include the same Snapdragon 801 SoC that powers its bigger brother. It would be coupled with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage.
However, it is said Lenovo will compromise with the QHD display in the mini phone. So expect not the Quad HD display in the phone but a Full HD panel offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080p. In terms of imaging, the K920 Vibe Z2 Pro Mini is reportedly said to bear a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing shooter.
There are not much information regarding the pricing and availability of the leaked smartphone, but we will let you know as soon as we get hold of them.
